.....Among the veteran’s in attendance S.Sgt. Chuck Neilson honored us by participating in our Flag Retirement Ceremony. Mr. Neilson served in WWII as a B-17 Flying Fortress tail-gunner. On December 22, 2013, Officers responded to a radio call regarding a medical emergency involving a baby choking. Corporal Choe and Officer Cowell, were in the ...area and arrived within one minute. Cpl. Choe saw that the baby was turning blue and unable to breathe. He quickly took the baby into his arms. He placed the baby face down on his left arm. He administered several back blows in attempt to free whatever foreign object was obstructing the baby’s airway. Cpl. Choe and Officer Cowell watched a small piece of hard candy fall from the baby’s mouth and land on the couch. Immediately the baby regained its color and began breathing on its own. See more
