MAYTIME BAND REVIEW IS BACK!!! This Saturday, October 7th at 10 a.m. The parade will take place on Tidelands Avenue in National City and end at Pepper Park. ... Spectator parking is available at the designated Public Parking (dirt lot) at the San Diego Railway Station parking lot (932 W. 23rd Street). An "extra treat" The Port of San Diego in celebration of October as National Arts Month, will host the Fern Street Circus on Oct 7th simultaneously with Maytime. Circus performances, free popcorn, a photo booth, face painting, and giveaways as part of this family-friendly artistic performance. www.fernstreetcircus.com See everybody there!

Here are the events for the week at The American Legion Post 255 in National City: Monday 7/3: Haircuts by Elsa starting at 3 pm. The Post will host darts at 6:30 pm (Imperial Beach vs Chula Vista). Tuesday 7/4: 4th of July Lunch Special 11 am - 4 pm. Hamburgers, Hot Dogs, Potato Salad and Baked Beans. ... Wednesday 7/5: Soup Special from 11 am until 3 pm (or until gone). This week's special is Creole Soup. THERE IS A SAL MEETING ON WEDNESDAY AT 4:30 PM. Thursday 7/6: Lunch Special 11 am - 2 pm. Menu to be announced. $1 off lunch and cake for Post 255 members with a birthday in July. Saturday 7/8: There is a Hall Event beginning at 5 pm. SPECIAL NOTES: 1. HELP! The Post sure could use some pool cues for our game room. Several have been broken and need to be replaced. If you have any gathering dust in your garage and would like to donation them, it would be greatly appreciated. 2. Reminder - The monthly Fish Fry's will begin in September.
