American Canyon Little League 16.11.2020

October 27, 2020 To our American Canyon Little League family, To begin, I hope all of you are staying safe and healthy during these unusual times. These past few months have been a series of adjustments with school starting remotely, and now some students returning in person, and Napa County recently moving to the ‘Orange-Moderate’ Tier on the CA state scale. As some of you may have seen and read, some youth sports have started conditioning programs in American Canyon, ope...ning a pathway for our baseball and softball programs to resume for the 2021 season. There is still significant work to do to prepare for this, and the ACLL Board of Directors for the 2021 season is currently working to plan and prepare. I would like to take a moment to introduce the 2021 ACLL Board of Directors: Billy Felix - Connie Schmaling - Erika Ortega Erwin Lopez - Jaime Ramirez - Jeff Freedeen Jeff Servente - Jose Serna - Josh Staedler Lamont Wright - Matt Wildes - Nicki Pacheco Rob Hall - Ruben Pasion - Shaun Gilbert - Sheri Zollinger Planning for the 2021 Season is underway, our current target is to begin registration in early January with an Opening Day goal of April 10, 2021. To improve the likelihood of meeting our schedule, the ACLL Board will monitor state and local guidelines and work with local authorities. Even though we are not currently running any ACLL events, I encourage you all to use the local parks to play catch with your Little Leaguer, keeping them active, engaged, and continuing to build a love of baseball and softball. The ACLL Board thanks you for your continued support of Little League Baseball and Softball, and we hope you all stay safe and healthy!

Dear American Canyon Little League family, It is with great sadness that I announce American Canyon Little League is cancelling the 2020 spring/summer season. The ACLL Board of Directors weighed many factors in making this decision, including: -The ability of the league to offer a meaningful season -Uncertainty of when games could be played... Availability of other local leagues to participate in games -Challenges with implementing protective measures for players and community members Ultimately the ACLL Board determined that the chances of having a meaningful season for players and community members was low, and did not outweigh the level of uncertainty and risk. The ACLL Board of Directors would like to thank ACLL families, community members, the City of American Canyon, and the County of Napa for support with developing a plan with intent to have a season, and with providing feedback and guidance in our decision to cancel the season. With this news there are two additional items to announce. The first is that all players returning for the 2021 season will receive a 25% discount on registration fees. The second item is that ACLL is developing a plan to provide skills clinics for all interested players during the month of July. The intent of these skills clinics is to provide a healthy and engaging baseball/softball experience for our youth. More information on the skills clinics will be provided over the next 2 weeks. If you have any questions, please start with reviewing the ‘Frequently Asked Questions’ (FAQs) section added to our website (AmCanLL.org). If additional information is needed please contact a Board Member to discuss. The ACLL Board appreciates your continued support for our league. Thank you, Rob Hall President American Canyon Little League

May 31, 2020 To our American Canyon Little League family, It has been 2+ months of schooling from home, getting creative with keeping our kids active, and working to keep sanity in all our lives. There have been positive developments in the past several weeks with California moving to Phase 2 of the recovery roadmap, and Napa County progressing deeper into Phase 2 with continued positive trends. With this positive trend the ACLL Board of Directors is encouraged that our kid...s may soon be able to engage in baseball and softball activities. The ACLL Board utilized CDC guidelines, Little League International guidelines, and guidelines from Napa County to develop a set of safety protocols for returning to baseball and softball activities. These protocols were submitted to American Canyon city officials for review and comment in order to provide that lowest risk environment possible for our community. With the plan of resuming our 2020 season, the ACLL Board needs your support to understand how many players will return for a ‘Summer Season’. A survey has been developed to collect this data. Please click the following to take this survey: https://docs.google.com//1ca9OXeRiheAZbRbHLZx-hI/viewform A link to this survey will also be added toAmCanLL.org website and e mailed Once again the entire ACLL Board appreciates your continued support for our league, and we look forward to moving forward together. Thank you, Rob Hall President American Canyon Little League

Please read below letter from our ACLL president regarding an update on our 2020 season

American Canyon Little League 14.08.2020

To our American Canyon Little League family, We have all been under the stay at home orders for about a month now, and I hope you and your families are all safe and healthy. It has been a challenging month for all with adjusting to online schooling, practicing social distancing, and trying to keep our kids active and entertained at home. My family and I talk frequently about missing game nights at ACLL, the players, fans, canteen, and the great feeling of community. At this... time guidance from Little League International remains unchanged, recommending no Little League activities until at least May 11, 2020. So for now we will need to continue to be patient, continue to practice good habits, and hope that we can enjoy time at ACLL in the near future. The ACLL board of directors will continue to look at potential options for getting back to baseball when conditions change, and we will keep you updated as new information becomes available. Please continue to follow the recommended guidelines and stay safe and healthy. Thank you, Rob Hall President American Canyon Little League
