Do you have a little scientist in your home? We have some new lessons just for them! Materials and their Properties 1 - What is it Made of?, General Science, Grade 2 Materials and Their Properties 2 - Properties of Materials, General Science, Grade 2 Materials and Their Properties 3 - Choosing the Right Material for the Job, General Science, Grades 2-3... We also have some new Language Arts lessons as well: Indefinite Pronouns, Grammar, Grades 6-7 Correlative Conjunctions, Grammar, Grades 6-7 Lessons will not be automatically assigned. You can find these lessons in your curriculum tab by clicking "assign lesson" on the correct subject, using the drop-down menus to locate the lesson, and checking the box next to them to assign them to your child. With the holiday season around the corner, you may be wondering how you can take days off without it counting against your kids' streaks. In the Curriculum tab under the lesson tiles, there's an Edit Breaks button. From here, you can schedule custom days during the term you've set to be "vacation" days. You can do a single day for things like birthdays or field trips, or multiple days for family vacations or holidays. It's completely customizable! Likewise, if you don't observe Christmas, or would like your students in school on any public holidays, you can adjust that as well in the same tab!

Picking the best pumpkin can be hard when there's so many good ones to choose from. It's kind of like trying to choose your favorite Parent Portal feature on Always IceCream! Sometimes, kids have big feelings and they don't always have the words to communicate what those are. In our Kinder and First grade Curriculum, you can find "Words About Our Feelings" to help develop your little one's communication skills regarding emotions.

Our sites do offer Biblical Studies (that includes Christian and Jewish content) as a subject, but we give parents the option to opt out of this area of study on their parent account simply by not assigning anything from it. If Biblical Studies subject is unassigned, the content is secular as there is no other subject area that mentions religion. We have many Charter schools that use our site without the Biblical Studies subject.
