Hello Friends , Did you know that The dolphin is considered a special case because dolphins have the ability to put only half their brains to sleep at a time. The half-asleep brain made it difficult to measure response time and made scientists start to question their initial definition of sleep. Remember, part of being asleep means being still, and since dolphins still swam around it seemed that they did not fit into that category. However, when scientists measured dolphins’ brain waves they saw that the patterns were similar to brains that were asleep, at least in half of the brain.

"Information on how to breed KOI FISH" Choose matured breeders at least 3 years old, matured breeders have thick egg membranes and have higher survival rate an...d hatching rate, in addition, they have more eggs to lay. I think to correct me if I am wrong the ratio that a koi lay eggs is 100 thousand per kilo. Separate male and female breeder at least one month "Theirs a saying that absence makes love grow founder" In this method the males will have ample sperm and the female will have ample of eggs too. and when you will place them together again am sure they will really mate because they really miss each other already. Feed them high protein foods, specifically daphnia, earth worm, tubifex, snails, mosquito larvae, but you have to be caution in feeding live foods, wash the live foods properly, disinfect them, you can add peroxide to the water that your going to wash them to kill the bacteria their harboring. After a month add the breeders in the breeding tank with fresh water and nesting medium in it. you can add them during the full moon they will be stimulated to breed during a full moon. Check from time to time if the males chase the female usually they mate around midnight or early dawn. If you noticed the chased begins more aggressive and the males bump the female to the filter media and pond walls then it;s indication that they lay eggs already. Wait for about 30 minutes when they stop chasing the female immediately removed them both the males and females. Water change for about 80 to 70 change. The sperm will make the water murky and foul. It will suffocate the koi fry, in addition, it will make the bacteria bloom. Add Methylene blue to prevent fungus developing in the eggs. "Methylene blue is used in aquaculture and by tropical fish hobbyists as a treatment for fungal infections. It can also be effective in treating fish infected with ich although a combination of malachite green and formaldehyde is far more effective against the parasitic protozoa Ichthyophthirius multiplies. It is usually used to protect newly laid fish eggs from being infected by fungus or bacteria. This is useful when the hobbyist wants to artificially hatch the fish eggs. Methylene Blue is also very effective when used as part of a "medicated fish bath" for a treatment of ammonia, nitrite, and cyanide poisoning as well as for topical and internal treatment of injured or sick fish as a "first response". After 2 to 3 days, the eggs will hatch. wait for another day if they are free swimming stage already you can start feeding them egg yolk I started feeding them with live foods like daphnia and brine shrimp. I started culling them when they are about 3 weeks in this stage I segregated the tobis. See more

"The Soft Shell Turtle" Smooth softshells grow to large size as adults, thus consideration of their eventual needs should be taken into account before acquiring one. Maintaining good water quality is key to maintaining healthy softshell turtles. Smooth softshells like to hide in sand substrates and thus seem to do best in shallow water aquaria where they can completely bury themselves in sand, yet reach their long neck to the surface to breathe. In the wild, they often bur...y themselves at the downstream ends of sandbars where they can behave in a similar manner. Filtration is essential, although bottom filters may be quickly clogged with sand. Basking sites can be constructed from plastic egg crates, as these can be placed at a slanting angle into the water and allow the turtle to choose whether to emerge completely from the water or bask partially submerged. A basking light that provides warmth, of at least 80 degrees Fahrenheit as well as multi-spectrum lighting, is also important. See more

The true parrots are about 350 species of colorful flighted (with a few notable exceptions[Notes 1]) hook-billed, mostly herbivorous birds forming the superfamily Psittacoidea, one of the three superfamilies in the biological order Psittaciformes (parrots). [Notes 2] True parrots are widespread, with species in Mexico, Central and South America, sub-Saharan Africa, India, Southeast Asia, Australia, and eastwards across the Pacific Ocean as far as Polynesia. The true parrots include many of the familiar parrots including macaws, conures, lorikeets, eclectus, Amazon parrots, grey parrot, and budgerigar.

HISTORY At one point during the importation era, the search for the mythical Blue Amazon reached nearly epic proportions. Two wild pairs were found that produced this color mutation, but, although each pair occupied their same nests each season, a clutch with a blue baby might come only once in many years. Voren’s vocation put him in Honduras at just the right time to acquire two young Blue Mutation Amazons from the separate wild nests in two consecutive years. In another s...troke of luck they turned out to be a male and a female! At that time they were the only pair of Blue Mutation Amazons in the world. After years of expeditions, this pair was two of the only four specimens that existed in aviculture. The other two were long-term captive males that were proving difficult to pair with normally colored hens. The years of anticipation became fruitful when Voren’s Blue Mutation Yellow-Naped Amazons became the first pair in the world to produce Blue Amazons in captivity. His project would allow him to place pairs of these fabulous birds in some of the worlds top breeding facilities. Three other reputable professional facilities have now successfully produced blue offspring from the blue bloodlines supplied by Voren’s efforts. Several years after the original pair began producing; Voren received a call from one of the Honduran bird brokers he had worked with in the past. A pair of young blue mutation birds were available for sale, but both were harvested from the same nest as Voren’s blue male, and therefore siblings. In addition, since Honduras no longer exported birds, they would have to be transported to Nicaragua to be exported to the U.S.A. Voren refused the offer. The pair later fell into the hands of an American who was importing reptiles from Nicaragua. They were again offered for sale and Voren again refused. The birds were eventually acquired by a California aviary where they were bred together, and the inbred offspring are being sold to the public at bird shows and conventions where they can be exposed to a variety of contagions. These naturally occurring color morphs are precious gems. The buyer should be aware of both the provenance and potential health issues before making such an investment with a cut rate vendor at a fair, rather than with a well-established professional captive breeding facility.
