Please join me NOW in prayer for Jeff & Peg Marcus. Jeff is in ICU dealing with Covid. Peg is holding on to her faith in God and His power with all her might! Jeff needs a miracle...we serve a miracle working God! We are standing with you both in prayer right now!

Don’t fret or worry. Instead of worrying, pray. Let petitions and praises shape your worries into prayers, letting God know your concerns. Before you know it, a sense of God’s wholeness, everything coming together for good, will come and settle you down. It’s wonderful what happens when Christ displaces worry at the center of your life. - Philippians 4:6-7 (MSG) Focus is everything! One of the first principles in motorcycle riding is, you move toward what you are focused on.... Look where you want to go! Was the phrase I heard over and over! The same can be said on the spiritual journey of life. Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily trips us up. And let us run with endurance the race God has set before us. 2 We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects our faith. - Hebrews 12:1-2a (NLT) Focusing on God gives me the ability to take every thought captive (2 Cor. 10:5), pray without ceasing (1 Thes. 5:17), be constant in prayer (Rom. 12:12) and let heaven fill my thoughts. (Col. 3:2)

This world owes me nothing. Nor does it hold anything of lasting eternal value for me. From my devotion a few days ago: MADE FOR HEAVEN My kingdom does not belong to this world. John 18:36... Unhappiness on earth cultivates a hunger for heaven. By gracing us with a deep dissatisfaction, God holds our attention. The only tragedy, then, is to be satisfied prematurely. To settle for earth. To be content in a strange land. We are not happy here because we are not home here. We are not happy here because we are not supposed to be happy here. We are "like foreigners and strangers in this world (1 Peter 2:11). And you will never be completely happy on earth simply because you were not made for earth. Oh, you will have your moments of joy. You will catch glimpses of light. You will know moments or even days of peace. But they simply do not compare with the happiness that lies ahead. - When God Whispers Your Name Max Lucado
