March is here! In honor of #nationalwomensmonth our theme is WOMEN IN WINE FOR CHANGE. We are honored to be partnered with Saint John's Program for Real Change again, to have the opportunity to give back to our community and to drive awareness to this very special organization. In an effort to fundraise for this local program and to showcase women’s talents, we have adapted Allora’s wine list to highlight women owned wineries and female winemakers. These wines will be highl...ighted on our menu and $2 from every sale (bottles and glasses) will go directly to Saint John’s Program for Real Change. In addition to our fundraiser in house, our March Wine Club will also showcase women owned wineries and female winemakers. There are countless talented women making profound wines in Italy, and we look forward to sharing them with you this month! VALENTINE’S DAY 2021 We are so very pleased to be able to offer a six course prix fixe Valentine’s menu (in house dining), as well as a 5 course TAKE + BAKE menu available for curbside pick up. Both holiday menus are available on Saturday + Sunday (Feb 13th + 14th) only. Reservations are required for in house dining and seating is very limited as we are currently serving on our patio only. It is with very sad but hopeful hearts that we close in-house dining for the third time this year. Hi Friends! Just a note to let you know that we will be closed Oct 31 - Nov 3. Our amazing staff has worked tirelessly for the last 8 months to navigate COVID-19 closures, re-openings and the constant changes in our procedures and safety protocols. We thought it would be nice to give everyone a good break to enjoy Halloween with their families, to recharge their creative batteries, and to vote on Nov 3rd. On the fall menu, CICCIOLI! Ciccioli are the Italian version of Rillettes. Rillettes are a preparation of meat, similar to pâté. Learn a little more about the preparation of this seasonal Allora favorite below Duck Confit - In this particular dish, the duck is dry-brined with star anise, juniper and brown sugar before being slowly braised in duck fat. When the duck is tender enough, it is shredded and then cooled with enough of the fat to form a paste, then re-emulsified ...with extra virgin olive oil, shallots, fresh thyme, tarragon, parsley & chives. Duck confit is quite popular in Emilia Romagna, Modena, Bologna and Emilia Reggio. Wild Mushroom Salad Oyster, chanterelle and lobster mushrooms, sautéed in white wine, shallots, fresh thyme, tarragon, parsley & chives. Finished with sherry vinegar, extra virgin olive oil & fresh mustard greens. Served with grilled bread and a perfectly poached duck egg.
