Placer County Town Hall focuses on a critical issue - early childhood adversity / trauma. Terrific panel demonstrating relationships with education administrators, community based organizations, police departments, and medical practitioners.
A great afternoon at Project Lead the Way Lunch & Learn at Folsom Lake College. Enjoyed connecting with some Align Sierra team members, meeting many PLTW teachers from elementary to high school, and touring FLC’s Makerspace. We also had a great industry panel from Intel, StemExpress, and Inductive Automation. Key skills and experience these companies seek include: - Influencing others - Asking and getting help - Working in teams and delivering within timeframes - Taking risks... - not afraid to make mistakes - Problem solving - Making decisions considering many factors - Analyzing when you don’t have perfect data - Communication - Flexibility - Continuous learning See more

As the team manager for the Hospitality Team, I was so honored to be a judge for Salvation Army’s Culinary Arts Program. The student’s dishes were beautiful and delicious. And they accepted feedback so with enthusiasm! Graduation is tomorrow and I am so excited to celebrate with all the culinary arts students who have dedicated themselves to better their lives. One of the students shared that she loves this career field as she can do art through food, bring people together, and create memories. A few are still seeking entry-level back of the house jobs. If you’re seeking for culinary talent or interested in helping us expand the program, contact Major Martin Ross at the Salvation Army or myself. We have a great team who accomplished more by working together.
At the California student mental wellness conference. #CASMWC19 #bettertogether
