After six months of pandemic, some personal issues, and the threat and sadness of the CA fires, I was running low on spiritual energy. So low I was almost disoriented or walking around in a PTSD state. Another very covid-conservative old friend booked us a rental in Truckee about a month ago. Because of all that was happening I tried to cancel with AirBnB but they sent a form letter back stating a super strict cancellation policy, which felt heartless at the time. ...We went anyway and I’m so glad we did. The smoke cleared and we spent time swimming in lakes, lounging at the beach, hiking, river-swimming, cooking food, admiring our dogs, reading, and watching easy media like Legally Blonde, and Funniest Home Videos. Yesterday I left Truckee earlier than I would have because the smoke had rolled in. The four hours I drove home it was solid smoke from the various fires. Luckily my new car averaged about 58.8 miles per gallon making it so I didn’t need to stop! With new perspective I feel back to myself again, and with windows closed and air filters on high, I’m happy to get back to teaching again this week. Although I’ve learned that I NEED to stop and take care of myself and recharge my batteries with rest, nature, and good old fashioned laughter from time to time so that I can help others. #yoga #yogateaching #rest #positivevibes #onlineyogaclasses #yogaonline #healthylifestyle See more
