Therefore, the Islamic Shariah council of Northern California and Central Hilal Committee have declared that the moon has been sighted. We will began fasting tomorrow, Friday, April 24th, 2020.... Juma prayer suspended and all classes/programs postponed ============================================ Our 5 daily Prayers will continue to take place in the multi-purpose room and those who attend should bring their own prayer mats as we will be disinfecting the multi-purpose room regularly. DO NOT come to the Masjid if you are experiencing any symptoms such as fever, sore throat, cough or shortness of breath.

General Guidelines - Masjid Darus Salaam: We will be continuing with our congregational/Juma prayers and programs and classes as we actively monitor the situation and follow any guidance set forth by the Santa Clara county health Dept. We are also taking measures to disinfect and clean the Masjid more frequently. Ensure that we have the correct belief in place ... Increase in Dua, Durood, Repentance, and Sadaqah (optional charity). Stress upon cleanliness and hygiene (washing hands, etc.) Do not spread any unverifiable and unreliable information. Do not come to the Masjid if you are experiencing any symptoms such as fever, cough or shortness of breath and check with your physician for further advice. We strongly urge high-risk groups such as the elderly, those with underlying health conditions and those with the above-mentioned symptoms to miss Juma prayer. You will perform Dhuhr prayer at home If you are missing Juma prayer. If you are at the Masjid and experience any of the above symptoms please leave the area and avoid close contact with others. We should be careful with our conduct and behavior and ensure we do not fall into generalizing or discriminating against any race or individuals who are affected by the virus. Handshakes can be avoided if there is a fear of spreading the virus and we should not be offended if someone does not shake our hand. Those who abstain from handshaking should suffice with a verbal Salaam. Prayer mats can be brought to the Masjid or paper towels may be used for additional protection on the carpeted Masjid area. PLEASE NOTE OUR NEW LOCATION is only 4 minutes away: 374 Turquoise St, Milpitas CA 95035 Assalaamu Alaikum Respected Brothers and Sisters,... Alhamdulillah; its been 5 weeks since we’ve moved to our permanent home - Masjid Darus Salaam. Darus Suffah has also recently moved its full-time Hifz program and is planning further classes & programs. On the 30th of September, we will be handing over the keys to our former place at 90 Dempsey Rd. PLEASE NOTE that there are and will be NO activities taking place by our Masjid or organization at 90 Dempsey Rd. We are thankful to Allah SWT for his blessings and bounties and making the vision of a permanent Masjid in Milpitas a reality. As we settle into our Masjid and look towards serving our community, we realize that this would not have been possible without the support of our community.
