Born on the 6th of July, Happy 70th Birthday to one of our Favorite Italian-Americans (and gelato fan), Rocky Balboa aka, Sylvester Stallone! Tanti auguri a te, Paisan!

Today, along with you, we remember ALL that have given their lives for our freedom and the freedom of others, especially AL Gelato's very own cousin & nephew, Marine Rudolph V. Cistaro, Jr., who is honored on Panel 37E, Row 9 of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial. Here he is prior to deployment with family, at age 18. Within the year he would be gone, but Never Forgotten. God Bless all our Heroes this Memorial Day & always.

Happy 90th Birthday Clare!!! Born in the roaring 1920’s, she still tackles life with a Roar! Here she is, still stirring up a storm, by hand, no electric mixer for this young lady! She’s lived through it all: The Great Depression, WWII, 15 presidents (many repeats), 10 children and eventually founded AL Gelato, at age 52, in 1978. She’s served a million happy smiles by now, and Today we send her a million smiles in return! You’ve shown us that living, is all about giving... We Love you Clare!
