The Scholar, the Ignorant, the Heedless and the Fool It is reported that Al-Khall b. Amad said: Men are of four types: There is the man who knows and he knows that he knows. He is knowledgeable, so follow him and ask him. And there is the man who does not know, and he knows that he does not know. He is ignorant, so teach him. And there is the man who knows, but he does not know that he knows. He is heedless, so remind him. And then there is the man who does not know, but he... does not know that he does not know (he thinks he knows). This is the fool (idiot), so beware of him. Ibn Abd Al-Barr, Jmi Bayn Al-ilm wa Falih article 1538.

ADAB (ettiquetes) COME BEFORE SEEKING KNOWLEDGE. It is important as Muslim parents we teach our children adab first because Good character, morals, and manners are the heart of Islam. While MORAL EDUCATION is obviously important for individual development, it also defines the character of the entire society.... After few assessments, observations I have decided to teach our children Islamic Tahdhib, Akhlaq & Adab before teaching anything else therefore I have desinged a series for children age 6 to 18 from books based on Quran and Sunnah where we will teach a broad spectrum of moral and social teachings. Insha Allah. The 14 weeks course will teach children information about kindness, obedience helping others ,respect, hospitality, dress and hygiene. It will also cover subjects of topical relevance to todays young Muslims growing up in the WEST as obligations to parents, choosing the right company ,animal welfare and more. Ibn 'Umar (May Allah be pleased with them) reported: the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) passed by a man of the Ansar who was admonishing his brother regarding shyness. Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said, "Leave him alone, for modesty is a part of Iman." (Riyad as-Salihin, Book 1, Hadith 1) A beautiful quality reflects a beautiful Deen. Showing off and being loud and brash are not desirable traits. Modesty has many different meanings, understand the term "Haya" and embody it. You will see the inner beauty of your character flourish.

*One Of The Most Beloved Actions To Allh* If each of us would look after our brothers and neighbors around us and try to keep them from hunger and share wealth with them from time to time, then by Allh, this is one of the most beloved actions to Allh, and the greatest means to draw near to Allh the Exalted. *A Precious Gem* Forbidden pleasure is combined with ugliness and it will cause pain after the moment has passed. If you feel strongly inclined toward it, you should think about the pain it will leave behind. It is necessary to compare the two matters and discover the difference between them. Suffering pain while worshiping Allah is combined with a good soul that will bear the fruit of pleasure and relief. When the soul finds it heavy and thinks to stop the pain and then com...pares the end results of the two matters, he will surely prefer the way of hardship. If you feel pain because of deeds, you should think about the happiness, joy, and pleasure you will gain, then the pain will seem easy to bear. If you get hurt because of abandoning some kind of forbidden pleasure, you should think about the pain that follows it and compare the two kinds. To make the correct choice, you must know the reasons and consequences of each act and then choose that which is more deserving and useful. Whoever succeeds at doing this, would choose the better and prefer it. Whoever thinks about this Worldly life and the Hereafter, would know that he will never gain either of them except by hardship. He should bear this hardship in order to gain the best and more lasting of them. Imam Ibn al Qayyim AL-FAWA’ID: A Collection of Wise Syaings

*Truthfulness & Righteousness* Ibn Mas'ood ( ) reported that the Prophet () said: "Truthfulness leads to righteousness and righteousness leads to Paradise. A man speaks the truth and makes truth his object until he is written as eminently truthful with Allah. Falsehood leads to wickedness and wickedness leads to Hell-fire. A man speaks falsehood and makes falsehood his object until he is written as a great liar before Allah." *They Will See Their Lord* There is also a narration in a Muslim on the authority of Suhayb ( ) who reported that the Prophet ( ) said, "When the people of Paradise enter Paradise, Allh will say to them, 'Do you wish Me to give you anything more?' They will say 'Have You not illuminated our faces? Have You not admitted us into Paradise and saved us from the Hellfire?' He said: He will remove the veil, and they will not have been awarded anyth...ing more beloved to them than seeing their Lord." Then he recited the verse: * * *"For those who have done good is the best reward and extra."* [Srah Ynus 10:26] [ Recorded by Muslim (no. 181-182). | *Book: Fear The Temptations Of The Duny (This Worldy Life)*, p. 69-70 | By al-Shaykh fi al-akam & Explanation by al-Shaykh 'Abd al-Razzq Ibn 'Abd al-Musin al-Badr | Translation: Osman Hamid | ikmah Publications]
