Thanks for the video Jessica Teng! TCV food bank kept everyone protected by taking everyone’s temperature, providing hand sanitizer, gloves, and N95 masks while having each group at their individual stations. Today was a great workout! Our group at our station was able to give out 300 boxes of groceries and food! We lifted constantly and none of the volunteers were hungry or tired until we ran out of boxes to give out. Thank you to everyone who came out to volunteer today for the drive thru food pantry in Fremont! There were different groups of volunteers in each tent and we were told our group alone gave out around 300 or more boxes of groceries and food. Great job team! KW Cares will be volunteering with the TCV Food Bank, Alameda Food Bank, and Wells Fargo in Fremont to help feed our community. Food distributions of groceries will be every Friday and demand has doubled since SIP. We will be helping by placing food and groceries in car trunks of families in need. This event will be held outside and we will have safety guidelines to follow. Please reach out to me if you're interested in volunteering. The minimum age to volunteer is 16 years ...old. We have 5 spots left for the morning shift and 5 spots left for the afternoon shift. =) Morning Shift: 9:00am-12:00pm Afternoon Shift: 11:30am-2:30pm FOR EVERYONE'S SAFETY: a. COVID safety is our top priority b. This is a "drive-thru site" only; No "Walk-up" clients are allowed c. Entire event takes place outside in the parking lot d. 6ft+ distance maintained by all people on site e. Masks must be worn f.
