The FDA just issued a safety alert warning against the use of Hyaluron pens. I‘ve heard about these devices, but didn’t know much, so I went down the rabbit hole andseriously? DIY aficionados are going on Amazon and buying a modified nail gun mechanism hooked up to a syringe of God knows what non FDA approved crap and. firing it into their lips?! Or going into their local nail salon and getting it done there?! That’s crazy! Have you seen No Country For Old Men? So I looked... up what can happen. Scooped bridge noses are another common nose type I see. This patient naturally had a very scooped bridge, making the tip of her nose her prominent feature. Noses with scooped or low bridges also make it difficult for patients to wear glasses or sun glasses comfortably because there is a lack of support for them to sit on. Revision Rhinoplasty using Bellafill for permanent results. This patient had a surgical rhinoplasty which left her with an overly scooped bridge and a pointed tip. Some patients may desire this result, but in her case she felt it looked unnatural and she missed the unique features of her original nose. I used Bellafill, a permanent filler option, to restore the contours and softness of her pre surgery nose. She wanted a rounder tip and a slight bump added back to her nose. A...dded bonus, with Bellafill her new results will be permanent and what she sees here is her final result (minus some minor swelling), no surprises. This is a pretty common complaint I hear during consultation, patients had surgical rhinoplasty and the results turn out to be different than they expected. I hope that everyone had a happy and safe holiday. Like everyone else, we had to cancel plans and limit social contact in this surge of the pandemic, but it’s ok.
