From keeping us healthy during COVID-19, to putting out wildfires, and keeping the peace for the community of San Marcos, we are eternally grateful for our first responders. #NationalFirstRespondersDay

San Marcos City Council District 3 race: Well, there you have it. My opponent has revealed herself in a political hit piece toward me as a veiled attempt at honesty. Yes, I proudly wear the badge of endorsement by the San Diego and Imperial Counties Labor Council and their 136 affiliated members and 200,000+ members. Their fight to protect workers rights, for prevailing wages for workers, and for collective bargaining is my fight too. It’s all our fight. ... No, I have not sold out to ANYONE because I do not accept corporate or PAC donations to my campaign. Period. Unlike my opponent, whose campaign is largely funded by the Deputy Sheriff’s Association (as distinguished from the actual Deputy Sheriff members, many of whom I represent and respect) who funnel contributions from the Building Industry Association (Developers) to local candidates like my opponent who will do developers’ bidding for housing projects that DO NOT support unions and are often terrible projects for San Marcos. (The evidence for this scam is posted on my website alangeraci.com). The scam is that the politicians say they are for public safety because they are endorsed by the union arm of police workers when in fact they are benefactors of developers’ political money. I have been a City prosecutor and public interest attorney my entire career, fighting against scams and frauds. Getting this monied influence out of City Hall, in fact out of our entire electoral process, is an important start to make sure that YOUR City Council is fighting for YOUR best interest and not for the monied interests that buy career politicians. It’s what my campaign is about. The rest is up to you. Vote from top to bottom of your ballot like your life, liberty and community depend upon it. Because it does. #vote2020 #sanmarcosstrong

Pre-COVID photo after a discussion on homelessness issues. I’m always proud to share space with our Governor who knows how important it is to partner up with local leaders. #vote2020

Another morning at Palomar helping the Labor Council and San Diego Feeds with food distribution to help alleviate food insecurity in North County. It was a nice treat to have the Palomar Comet Cheer Squad there too! I was pleased to welcome my brethren to San Marcos. #sdiclc #ironworkerslocal229

I know I’m not the first to say it, asking for money is the worst part about campaigning. But it’s also necessary to elect the leaders we need, especially now. I’m facing a fundraising deadline tonight and I could really use your help. The money we raise will help us reach the voters we need to before Election Day. https://secure.actblue.com//alan-geraci-for-san-marcos-cit

Friday afternoon at Nordahl Marketplace. Thank you again #ironworkerslocal229 Josh Riley, Gustavo and Priscilla Reyes and Ciabatta for your support and energy! The hard hats get lots of thumbs up from passerbys. Yeah, San Marcos Village People is on tour. #vote2020

Combating climate change should be at the top of our priority list. Have you read my op-ed on what San Marcos needs to do? https://northcountydailystar.com/op-ed-san-marcos-needs-ag/
