Joel captured this great shot of Thomas and Jordan replacing a compressor in this unit in downtown San Diego yesterday. Thomas recently joined the Air Temp team and so far he has been doing a GREAT job with any call thrown at him. Not to mention, he has been a great mentor to Jordan, one of our new Helpers. These cool guys not only did a great job replacing a ball valve on a boiler, they did it at MIDNIGHT This customer requested the work be done most convenient to his hotel guests when they were least likely to use the hot water. These pictures pretty much sum up the caring attitude of our #techniciantuesday recipient, Jace! What better way to capture his kindness than escorting a sweet, elderly woman down the stairs. Jace joined the Air Temp family in April coming from an HVAC background. Hes proven his skills and knowledge of the trade that he now is the lead technician on some of our install projects. If you have the opportunity to meet Jace, you will enjoy his upbeat, friendly personality. Thanks for all your hard work thus far in your career with ATS! We appreciate you taking care of our customers and taking pride in your job.

Those of you may recognize Christina as our Employee of the Year from 2020, one of our military veterans, or as the first female technician to join the Air Temp family. To us, she is a highly valuable and versatile employee and we are very lucky to have her. Her trade skills have helped her advance in her current position as our Ops Manager and she's ready to jump in to any situat...ion that arises. She excels in any position she is assigned and we thank her for all of her hard work!

When this mini split for a studio apartment failed to call for heat, the ATS team was on it! Tommy and our new hire, Tim, tackled the situation and found the root of the cause was low refrigerant levels. The boys recharged, tested, and were able to keep the resident warm and comfortable!

The Air Temp Installers have been hard at work the past couple of months! We've been installing brand new ductwork throughout a warehouse to prepare for the HVAC equipment we will be installing. Checkout some of the ductwork so far!

Christina recently installed a brand new 7.5 HP motor into a swamp cooler for one of our customers. A typical air conditioning unit uses vapor compression or absorption refrigeration cycles while a swamp cooler cools the air through the evaporation of water while also adding moisture to the air as it cools. Great job to Christina and Joel on this job!

Happy #TechnicianTuesday to our incredible Service Manager Joel! We just celebrated Joel's 11th Year Anniversary at Air Temp (yesterday to be exact)! He started here as an HVAC Technician and over the years has worked day in and day out to be one of our most highly skilled technicians earning him the prestigious position as our Service Manager. Joel has an office in El Cajon but you will rarely see him working out of it because he is constantly out in the field stopping b...y jobs, advising our service techs over the phone, or even running service calls. We got lucky and were able to capture this photo of him before he left the office! He puts 110% into everything he does and is always ready to jump in and help our technicians with anything they need. We appreciate Joel for his loyalty and determination to ATS over the past 11 years and we look forward to many more!

The #PlumbingNinja strikes again with some highly skilled copper repairs! Brian and Jorge replaced two regulators at a property this past week. What does a water regulator do? The city supplies water through high pressured copper pipes but this high pressured water has the potential to destroy the copper pipes within the boiler. The regulator takes this high pressured water and lowers it so that it does not risk the pipes bursting. ... Good job guys!

Happy #TechnicianTuesday to Jeff! Jeff has been with Air Temperature Specialists for 2 and a half years now and has become very versed in the trade! Jeff is always ready for a challenge, and ready to learn a new skill. He is not only an amazing HVAC tech, but he also helps with plumbing anytime we need! He learns as much as he can while at work, and also does his research outside of work to continue learning! He is very committed, and determined to do well in every aspect of... his job, and you can tell by the amazing quality work that he provides. Jeff is always there to lend a helping hand and put in the extra hours when needed, and we are lucky to have technicians that show so much pride in their work! If you ever see Jeff out in the field say hi!

Look at these two guys staying safe on the job! Not only do our techs take proper safety precautions to prevent the spread of coronavirus, they also wear safety gear to protect themselves on the job as there are cranes, heavy equipment, and traffic hazards. Good job Anthony and Enrique!

Checkout this replacement of an expansion tank for a closed loop system! What does the expansion tank do? With the water being pressurized inside a heating or chilled water HVAC system, the expansion tank limits the pressure within the system by absorbing the expanding fluid. Another great replacement done by the Air Temp team!
