It’s here! Early this morning, Adventist Health Lodi Memorial received its first doses of the COVID-19 vaccine. At the direction of the county health departments, the vaccine will first be made available to staff who are regularly working in high exposure areas such as a dedicated COVID-19 unit, the emergency department and ICU. This is a huge step in the battle against COVID-19, and we are excited to start this process in our community.

Thank you to everyone who participated in the Lodi Memorial Hospital Foundation's Walk for the Health of It! We were so excited to participate in this with our foundation after the longtime Lodi Memorial event was postponed in May due to COVID-19. For the first time ever, the event was held at Woodbridge Golf & Country Club, where it allowed for the perfect pandemic set-up. Walkers and joggers went in specific shifts as to not have too large of crowds. We also had a small fair with free health screenings provided by Lodi Memorial and healthy snacks to help everyone keep up their energy. Proceeds raised will go to purchase two pieces of urological equipment that will aide doctors in the diagnosis and treatment of urinary issues, pelvic floor disorders, cancer and more.

He will discuss the latest developments in minimally invasive weight loss surgery and medical managed weight loss options. Adventist Health Lodi Memorial is excited and proud to be able to soon offer complete cancer care to patients in their own community. A new cancer center is underway at Alder Place and Vine Street that will offer new, state-of-the-art technology for all types of cancer care. This is a huge milestone for the Lodi community, and we will continue to share progress during every step of the way.

Adventist Health Lodi Memorial came together yesterday afternoon to honor the selfless team members who lost their lives to COVID-19. Donna and Revi were longtime certified nursing assistants who dedicated decades to Lodi Memorial. In a heartfelt and emotional Celebration of Life, staff and family members grieved this huge loss by sharing words of hope and strength, two things Donna and Revi were known for sharing with others. The Lodi Memorial wants to continue to serve the community with the kind of overflowing love and kindness that these amazing women exemplified to their patients and colleagues. We will forever remember their dedication and service. Thank you to every caregiver who has sacrificed for others during this pandemic. Your work has changed lives.

Congratulations to Adventist Health Lodi Memorial’s Jessica Nasello, RN, who was awarded the Lorraine Pope Nurse of the Year Award at a Nurses Week ceremony Tuesday morning. Jessica is an amazing nurse who goes above and beyond for her patients and her team. She exemplifies the organization’s mission of living God’s love with health, wholeness and hope.
