Animal Hospital in Fairfield 17.12.2020

Now that Solano County has adopted a similar Shelter in Place ordinance as the rest of the Bay Area, we thought it pertinent to continue to update our clients on the steps we are taking. Thankfully, the duties of AHF do fall under essential business, and we will remain open. However, we are heeding safety measures made available by the AVMA for all parties involved. For the foreseeable future, our clinic's closing hours will be varying depending on the public's need. In an e...ffort to do everything in our power to limit our staff's and our clients' risk of exposure, we ask that when checking in for your appointments you remain in your vehicles and call the reception area to notify us of your arrival; upon doing so we will asses if your pets' exam can be performed in your vehicle or if you will need to come inside for additional measures. We will also be limiting the number of clients and furry friends allowed in our lobby at one time. It is a normal part of our every day practice to sanitize our premises, but these efforts have also increased to 2-3 times daily in light of recent events. During this time we ask that if your pet only needs routine wellness care (annual vaccines, annual exams, etc.) and you have no major concerns, you wait to schedule these appointments until the Corona Virus storm calms. We will not be accepting or scheduling any technician appointments, aside from finishing puppy or kitten booster vaccines, until after April 7th, or whenever Solano County ends the shelter in place ordinance. We will also not be scheduling elective surgeries without emergent medical need. Elective surgeries include all spays, neuters, and minor dental work. Please be aware that we do still have an online pharmacy, Covetrus, that you can request refills of medication or food from and will be shipped directly to your home. Please give us a call if you would like us to go over it with you! animalvetfairfield.vetsfirstchoice.com We apologize for any inconveniences this may cause. Please be aware that if you have an appointment scheduled in the coming days/weeks we may be in contact in the next few days to discuss these new protocols. We understand that this is a worrysome time for all, and we hope to add some clarity to the confusion with adopting these current practices. As always, if anything else changes, our clients and their furry friends will be the first to know! Though times may be stressful and unclear, we want you to be sure that we are still the people putting your pets first! If you have any questions or concerns regarding your pet's needs please do not hesitate to give us call!

Like most of you, AHF is attempting to take the necessary precautions during this stressful time. For this reason, our clinic's closing hours will be varying depending on the public's need for the foreseeable future. If and when Solano County is involved in a shelter-in-place ordinance, our clients and their furry friends will be the first to be updated on any additional information we can provide! Until then, we are limiting the number of customers in our lobby and continuou...sly cleaning and sanitizing our premises as much as possible. During this time we ask that if your pet only needs routine wellness care (annual vaccines, annual exams, etc.) and you have no major concerns, you wait to schedule these appointments until the Corona Virus storm calms. If you have any questions or concerns regarding your pet's needs please do not hesitate to give us call!
