February is Black History Month and Heart Health Month. Please take a moment to have your blood pressure checked. This Sunday (Feb 16th, 2020), The City of Hope International Church is offering free blood pressure screening between (9:00 am to 1:00pm), downstairs in the Fellowship Hall. Stop by to have your BP checked and receive some educational information. It is important to know your numbers so you can take action if your BP is elevated. High blood pressure is a SILENT KILLER, which means, you may be walking around with an elevated BP and don't have any symptoms. You owe it to yourself to have your BP checked so you can prevent a potential stoke or heart attack from happening. Spread the word. I hope to see you on Sunday. I will be there to help save a life....I hope it's yours.

Hello everyone, It's that time again!!! Our next Community Outreach Event is next week Wednesday, March 6th from 10:00 am - 5:00 pm. For those of you that arent aware, the Community Outreach program has officially partnered with the San Diego Continuing Education (SDCE) to combine the numerous FREE services and resources we offer with the "Farm to Family" produce distribution that they offer. This collaboration will provide the entire community with a more robust event.... Our new location of the monthly event is: The Educational Cultural Complex (ECC) parking lot located at 4343 Ocean View Blvd, SD, 92113 We will continue to provide all the wonderful FREE services from 10:00 am - 5:00 pm and Feeding San Diego will be distributing fresh produce from 12:00 pm - 3:00pm. Our final FREE monthly Community Outreach Event for 2018 is next Wednesday, 12/5/18 from 10am-5pm. This will be a special event at a new location. We have collaborated with San Diego Continuing Education (SDCE) and will join them at the Grand Opening of their "Farm to Family Fair" - fresh produce distribution and resource fair (12-3pm) at the ECC - Educational Cultural Complex, located at 4343 Ocean View Blvd, SD. 92113. This FREE event is open to the entire SD community.... We will provide our usual health related services of blood pressure & diabetes screening, Flu and Hep A vaccines, Hep C and HIV testing, dental screening, CalFresh enrollment, mental health information, nutrition and breast health education and FREE MAMMOGRAMS.
