I am delighted to announce that I have been chosen as a member of The 2021 Cohort of Creative Peacebuilders. The Peace Studio choses artists and creators who have demonstrated that they are dedicated to put peacebuilding at the center of their artistic pursuits. I am thrilled to be chose...n for this opportunity, as it provides me with a community of like-minded individuals, gives me access to tangible leadership opportunities, and gives me the resources I need to thrive. As a part of this community, I have been challenged to raise at least $100 in honor of #GivingTuesday. These funds will help support both myself and the other artists in this program. In a time where the world needs it most, this program promises to bring love, healing, and peace to the world through the power of creative pursuits. It’s that time of year again...! There’s one more chance to catch our 10th Annual Native Voices at the Autry Short Play Festival LIVEon Sunday afternoon...! On Zoom @ ... 1-30-3:00 PST / 4:30-6:00 EST! ***You can tune in from anywhere*** It’s my 7th year with the company and our 1st year under the tutelage of our brand new Artistic Director and fearless leader, DeLanna Studi! I cherish being able to grow within this diverse community representing Indigenous cultures from all over the Americas. Find out which play takes home the Von Marie Atchley Excellence in Playwrighting Award of $1000 and a first this yearthe Audience Award of $500!! Of the 9 plays in competition, I directed one, am stage managing another, and acting in yet another. Like every other company that’s had to make changes due to Covid, we are presenting on Zoom this year and we are excited with the possibilities this format gives us to bring these stories to life!
