Air Force Planning Hangar Construction for Future B-21 Stealth Bombers. The U.S. Air Force held a virtual B-21 Long Range Strike Bomber industry day this week to discuss construction projects to house the new stealth bomber, known as the Raider. The Air Force Civil Engineering Center, Aerospace Facilities Group, and U.S. Army Corps of Engineers went over details and scheduling -- including maintenance hangars and low-observable restoration facilities -- on Monday with South Dakota's Rapid City Military Advisory Coalition.

The 48th Equipment Maintenance Squadron conducted the first crane lift at RAFL ( Royal Air Force Lakenheath) in 10 years, providing recertification for the Crash Damaged Disabled Aircraft Recovery Airmen.

AFG installed new dirty-clean transistion rooms and air showers at Luke AFB on their F-16/F-35 Paint Booths. This system allows the workers to enter and exit the booths while mitigating the exposure to Hexavalent chromium (Chrome-6)

Aerospace Facilities Group new Paint Booth (Temp and Humidity Controlled), Sanding Booth and Mix kitchen for Shaw AFB SC. This is in direct support of the F-16's at Shaw AFB This set up also mitigates the Hexavalent Chromium from booth to including the AFG abrasive blast booth

The group is responsible for the repair, modification, reclamation and rework of over 200 aircraft worldwide. The group also prepares and deploys combat aircraft battle damage repair, crash recovery and supply and transportation teams worldwide.
