Another great spot to visit in Norcal is in Chico State's backyard... Burney Falls! This is a great spot to see the fall colors and enjoy the view from a canoe or the trail. There's little more magnificent than these falls, so throw on some layers and get out there!

Thinking about one of our favorite spots in California. There's something about the steep granite walls against the turning fall colors that adds to Yosemite's charm this time of year. What's your favorite fall activity?

Last week, the AS Board of Directors unanimously voted to include Juneteenth as an annual paid holiday, making us the first Associated Students auxiliary in the... California State University system to officially do so. The resolution, which was introduced by the elected student leaders who are the majority of the AS Board of Directors, acknowledges and supports the need for the history of the Black community to be recognized in official policy and shared to sustain our advancement as a unified people. We recognize that providing Juneteenth as a paid holiday does not eradicate the roots of the systemic oppression plaguing our country, but it is an action long overdue and only the beginning of the work the Associated Students plans to implement to support the Black community. We acknowledge that true freedom for all people has not yet been realized, and we are determined to advocate for the implementation of antiracist actions and equitable change on and off campus. You can find the resolution here: https://as.csuchico.edu/ind/government-affairs/resolutions/ California State University, Chico
