She was found on the streets of Mexico and owner was found and owner said they no longer wanted her. So we took her into our rescue. She has been fully vetted and is healthy and ready to find her forever home. We have 3 dogs that have major medical health problems. We need to raise $8,970. We have raised maybe $1,000 so far. I know times are tough for many and in the past we were able to do a few fundraisers, but at this time we have not been able to do that. Boris broke his leg and we were able to raise $800 of the $2,102 and it will end up being more because of bandage changes and more X-rays. Little Pixie has a mass that we need to get biopsy’s. Charlie also needs a very ...intricate biopsy as well. We did an aspersion, but that told us little that it might be cancer, but need to remove the mass. We work really hard through out the year and save lots of senior dogs and we spend thousands of dollars on them. Pixie and Charlie are both senior dogs. They are 10 yrs old. Charlie was tied to a bench in a park in the Long Beach area and brought to the shelter and no owner came for him. He was under weight and had missing fur. Look how amazing he looks now. Pixie was found on the street brought to the shelter and no owner came. Boris came from a hoarders house and had an unexpected accident and broke his leg. 2 new dogs we just saved from TJ Mexico. Ellie’s owners moved and tied her up outside in front of the house. If it wasn’t for the neighbors taking her in who knows what would have happened. Oreo owner died and family didn’t want him. They both need to gain some weight and will be available soon.

Petunia is an 8 year old 17 lb. Lhasa Apso/Poodle Mix who was found wandering the streets of Mexico. We believe she was abandoned by her previous owners because of her vision loss. She does have cataracts in both eyes so she is vision impaired. When Petunia was found she was terrified, cold, and did not eat or drink for several days. If she had not been rescued Petunia would have died from starvation. After a few months of TLC she was later transported to Los Angeles so she c...ould have a better chance of finding a loving forever home. Petunia is a couch potato and enjoys lounging around the house. She likes to be held and going out for short walks. Petunia gets along with other dogs and keeps to herself. She would be best suited in any home with a quiet and less active lifestyle. Petunia is microchipped, vaccinated and spayed. Fosters needed for these 3 terriers. The owner died and had 7 dogs. We took all of them in and were able to find fosters for 4 of the dogs. All the dogs are very shy. They have come around and are a bit more out going once they trust you. Someone came by to meet them they gave them treats and within a few minutes they were jumping in their lap. So experienced fosters needed. They are not house trained and never been on a leash before. So need someone patient and once th...ey feel safe they are high energy. They are small but mighty. We recently took in this bull dog who’s owner dropped her off at a neighbors house and never came back for her and that person wouldn’t allow her into the house and tied her to a chair for shade. One of our friends saw her tied up and convinced them into giving her up. No questions asked we took her in right away. Her name is Chanel and we took her to the vet and she has so many health issues poor baby both people should be prosecuted. Spent $780 yesterday to have X-rays, b...lood work up, has ear infections, eye lashed turned in that irritates the eyes so needs surgery, skin allergies and no hip joints and was breed to death and has maybe and ACL injury and has a tumor on her knee. Many thanks to everyone who donated to our Strut Your Mutt this year. We were able to raise $13,200 for our doggies. That will help us with the many dogs we take in with their medical needs. We just rescued these dogs last month from three streets of TJ. We think they are all related. Odie & RinTinTin look to be brothers & Tinkerbell might be their mom. They have been fully vetted before they got here and will be available soon for adoption they need to be spayed and neutered. All sweet dogs just a bit shy but warm up super quickly.

One of my friends passed away last week and they had this kitty his name is Simba and guessing his age to be 7 yrs old and guess weighs about 10 lbs. He ended up being picked up and brought to the shelter and I was able to get him out yesterday. So the shelter gave him shots and microchipped him as well. He was already fixed. He lived with other cats so he’s fine with them. Those cats he lived with have now passed on and he was the last cat left my friend had. I’ve been told he’s a sweet cat but shy. We are hoping to help find him a home of his own soon. If not I have made arrangements with a great cat rescue to take him in. Simba is located in Los Angeles.
