Dirt, grime and brake dust wash off your car when it rains. Car wash facilities make it easy to keep your car clean, and they recycle the water. #ProtectEveryDrop
Help reduce water pollution by carpooling or using public transportation. Fewer cars on the highway reduce the amount of heavy metals from tires and brakes getting into our water. #ProtectEveryDrop
Make sure to properly secure and cover vehicle loads to prevent debris from flying out. When it rains, debris is washed off highways into storm drains ending up in California waterways.
When it rains, water washes pollutants off the highways and into the storm drain system ultimately impacting our quality of water. Keep our highways clean to help reduce polluted water from entering the storm drain system. #ProtectEveryDrop
Make sure to dispose of cigarette butts properly. They're one of the top littered items along California highways, washing down storm drains and into our precious waterbodies. #ProtectEveryDrop
