HIGH RISE in the Adobe Books Backroom Gallery Interactive, immersive, installation by Erik Parra @erikparra We share experiences of a built environment colored by personal, political and practical realities that often feel simultaneously antagonistic and comforting. On view through November 22
We are so grateful to Rhiannon MacFadyen for her exhibition ‘What is Fragile’ Closing tomorrow 10/11 Since opening, a few items have been taken from the alars. To those who have removed these objects: I invite you to make a reciprocal offering. Come back to the gallery, and if you truly cannot return the original object, you can place a new item where the object was that you removed. This can be money, a poem, a cowrie shell, herbs. We shall hope that the energy removed was for good purpose, and now we ask it be replenished.
Special viewing hours today for the opening of What Is Fragile, a multidiciplinary exhibition by Rhiannon Evans MacFadyen. Stop by 2-4pm today for the opening rituals.
Come on down to Adobe for some timely books!

Adobe Books is now home to the first SF Community Fridge @sfcommunityfridge , which is operated in partnership with the Mission Meals Coalition @mission.meals . Mission Meals Coalition is a community oriented collective made up of organizers, community groups and small businesses. They are dedicated to connecting SF Bay Area community members to food resources on a weekly basis no matter their zip code, housing, or immigration status. Last week, SFCF and MMC established a fri...dge and pantry on our new parklet in front of the shop. The fridge is stocked with culturally-relevant food, and is freely accessible to anyone in need every day during our business hours. This fridge and pantry is fueled entirely by community donations, so feel free to stop by to drop off groceries on their shopping list, or donate directly to MMC. @ Adobe Books & Arts Cooperative See more
