The struggle is real Now more then ever. We hope everyone is enjoying their day today!
As fires are burning all around us , we need to be cautious of how the poor air quality can affect our pets. Limit outdoor activity and walks for your dog as much as possible. If you have cats that like to be outside, try to coax them indoors, even if just for a few hours each day to limit exposure.... (From theconversation.com)...When animals exercise, they increase the amount of air they inhale, which increases the deposition of particles deep in the lungs. When an animal inhales smoke, it brings a combination of toxic gases, such as carbon monoxide and hydrogen cyanide, and particulate matter, a mixture of small liquid and solid particles, into its throat, nose and lungs. Smoke inhalation can damage the respiratory tract in multiple ways; it can cause burns and lead to physical irritation, causing the airway to swell and become blocked. This post is not to alarm anyone, but to raise awareness Please stay safe!

****ADOBE ANIMAL HOSPITAL IS NOW CURB SIDE SERVICE ONLY**** If you must take your pet to the vet during this time you may notice some changes. Many hospitals / clinics are now doing curb side service where your pet is taken into the hospital by a staff member while the pet owner waits outside in the car, Please do not hand over any of the pet's belongings including collars, leashes, clothing, blanket's, etc For dogs, the staff member will use a clean leash from the hospital ...to take your pet inside. For cats, a cat carrier is required - without bedding or padding inside. Once the pet's exam has been conducted, the pet owner is called so the vet can discuss any findings and decide on a treatment plan. After this, payment will be taken over the phone (credit cards only if at all possible) All of this if for the purpose of minimizing staff member's exposure to COVID-19. If your pet is otherwise healthy, and you can reschedule your appointment, please do so for the veterinary staff as well as for your own health! A pet's nail trim, or routine surgical procedure can wait at least a month. One exception to this rule is pets, such as puppies and kittens, who are in the middle of their core vaccine schedule. PLEASE DO NOT SKIP THEIR APPOINTMENT if it can be helped. We are seeing injured, sick, and senior patients only at this time. We appreciate your cooperation and please feel free to contact us anytime with your questions or concerns.
Goodmorning, we hope all of you are staying healthy and safe! In order to limit exposure of COVID-19, we are beginning to shorten some of our hours. Until further notice, we will be CLOSED on Saturdays. and will no longer be here until 8:00 pm on Tuesday evenings. *Our hours will be 8:00am to 5:00pm Mon - Fri However, if we are slow and clients are understandibly not coming outdoors, some weekdays we may close at 4:00pm. Please call before you come. We appreciate your understanding during this time and please, let's stop the spread.
