"I have chronic lower-back pain and this really puts a dent in it. Think of ICY HOT on steroids. It really penetrates and lasts a long time. Lots of relief... quickly and over time. I've noticed that it tends to "kick in" again about 12 hours after application. Also, avoid the hot sun, even with clothing... as (for me) it acts like a super heat lamp to the affected area. I tried Penetrex... highly touted but provided very very little relief. I am happy to say that Amazon took... it back -- full refund -- after trying it for a few days. This is not for the faint of heart... it's serious stuff that works really well. Wash your hands REALLY WELL (or use latex gloves... or someone else's hands!) after using it.
