Memory Care Tip: Finger foods are very useful for loved ones who refuse to sit down to eat. They can eat as they move around, which avoids frustrating them by insisting that they sit at mealtimes. Finger foods also do away with cutlery and simplifies eating while enabling your loved one to maintain some independence and encouraging healthy eating habits.

You can never watch too many sunsets, they will continue to surprise you. ActivCare Brittany House residents showed us just how surprising a sunset can be. Their talent continues to amaze us!

ActivCare at Brittany House engages residents with thoughtful activities. The adorable little teddy bears are actually made from washcloths. Residents learned how to craft these unique creations using rubber bands and were hooked. After the first batch, residents asked to make more of these cuddly creatures.

Willy Wonka once said: ‘A little nonsense now and then is relished by the wisest men.’ Residents relished in the nonsensical as they crafted whimsical hats this past week. This craft was a perfect way to bring color and cheer to the community!

April showers brought May flowers; and we are going flower crazy at ActivCare Brittany House! Residents exercise their creativity and dexterity with flower crafts that created these beautiful masterpieces. We are proud to showcase them around the community.

The mothers at ActivCare Brittany House were treated to this sumptuous meal on Mother's Day fit for a queen. Yum! Thank you, Moms, for all you do for us!

We continue honoring mothers this month with a special Mother’s Board adorned with flowers, uplifting messages and personal notes from our residents. We love the stories our residents share with us! Share one of your favorite stories of your mother with us in the comments.
