A violent DUI crash in Santa Clarita on Friday evening left one person dead and two others in critical condition, authorities said. If you're going to use drugs... or drink alcohol... please, please, please do not operate a vehicle while you are under the influence. Time and time again, tragedies like this remind us that we are not invincible. If you are a person who has been known to drink and then drive, then you really have to take this seriously. Getting behind the wheel after consuming drugs or alcohol is a gamble. If you keep rolling the dice, sooner than later you won’t be so lucky. And what happens when your luck runs out? For just a few bucks, you can always call an Uber for a safe ride home. The "Action Experience," an interactive mobile memorial to young Santa Clarita residents who died by drug overdose, was broken into between late Wednesday eveni...ng and early Thursday morning. The suspects tore cabinets out of the vehicle, as well as a 33.25' x 57.5' sharp 65 LED 1080p television, valued at approximately $999.99. A witness saw a man carrying something out of the vehicle early Thursday morning. It was discovered the items were missing at approximately 11 a.m. the same day. April is Alcohol Awareness Month. It was established in 1987 by NCAADD (National Council on Alcoholism And Drug Dependence) to help reduce the stigma and misunderstandings so often associated with alcoholism and to increase awareness and insight into alcoholism, its causes, effective treatment, and recovery. Alcoholism is a chronic and progressive disease which is genetically predisposed, and fatal if left untreated. However, people can and do recover. In fact, its estimated that as many as 20 million individuals and family members are living lives in recovery.
