Rebecca Grossman’s Oct. 21 court date to hear charges that she struck and killed two boys in a Westlake Village crosswalk last month while allegedly driving drunk was postponed. Court officials have not released a new hearing date. Wednesday was not Grossman’s first scheduled appearance in connection with a vehicle incident.
Dubbed the California Schools and Local Communities Funding Act of 2020, the measure would amend the state’s tax assessment formula put in place by the landmark Prop. 13 in 1978. Under 13, residential and commercial property taxes are based on a parcel’s sale price, with annual increases capped at 2% of assessed value.
