Hot off the press! Mayor Eric Garcetti just launched LA’s Green New Deal, putting LA on the path to a greener, more sustainable future for all. Leafy was so ha...ppy to hear that along with the main goal of using 100% renewable energy by 2045, the City hopes to plant 90,000 trees by 2021 and increase tree canopy in areas of greatest need by at least 50% by 2028. City Plants is proud to work with Mayor Eric Garcetti, LADWP, City of Los Angeles Bureau of Street Services, City of Los Angeles Department of Recreation and Parks, Los Angeles Sanitation & Environment, Los Angeles City Planning, LA Conservation CorpsKoreatown Youth and Community Center, North East Trees, A Cleaner Greener East L.A, and many others to reach these goals. Help grow a more climate-resilient, equitable, and healthy Los Angeles for all, and help us collectively achieve the ambitious urban canopy goals in the Green New Deal. Apply for up to seven yard trees on the City Plants website today! Ayúdanos a crecer nuestro bosque urbano.
