The universe doesn’t give you what you ask for Edith your thoughts; it gives you what you demand with your actions. -Dr. S. Maraboli There are a lot of actions you can take today to demand better health A more nutritious diet ... A consistent exercise routine Better quality sleep Meditation Practicing mindfulness ACUPUNCTURE My patients see me because they have taken one of the first steps to demand better health for themselves. Acupuncture and Chinese herbs have been proven to send signals to the brain causing the release of endorphins, norepinephrine and enkephalins. Some of these chemicals are up to 200x stronger than morphine and help relieve pain, reduce stress and inflammation and help you feel like you again. If you want more information about how acupuncture can help you - follow the link in my bio and read the dozens of testimonials from my current and past patients. #acupuncture #acupuncturist #acupuncturists #acupunctureworks #acupuncturelife #acupuncturetherapy #acupuncturepoints #acupuncturestudent #cosmeticacupuncture #facialacupuncture #acupuncturefacelift #traditionalchinesemedicine #traditionalmedicine #chineseherbalmedicine #herbalmedicines #herbalism #integrativemedicine #naturalmedicine #ipreview #betterhealth #demandbetter #painrelief #mentalhealth #healthylifestyle #healthandwellness #newportbeach #ocacupuncture #irvine #lakeforest #costamesa See more

Chinese herbs and herbal formulas. There’s a lot of them. When getting a degree in Chinese medicine and subsequently studying for our licensing exams - we practitioners spend a LOT of time learning about them. Years in fact! Not only did I do the required learning, but I also interned and then worked in a Chinese herbal pharmacy. I was also awarded the Shen Nong Herbal Award in 2016. I not only prescribe herbal formulas for a variety of ailments, but I’ve even created my o...wn herbal formulas for my patients as well as other acupuncturists who have contacted me for herbal consults. Some of the most common things I prescribe herbs for are - Stress and anxiety Treatment of bipolar disorder PCOS/menstrual irregularity Infertility Common colds Cough and sore throat Pain Getting the RIGHT formula for your issue is the first step... so if you’re looking to get a prescription DM me for an appointment or info about herbal consultations These are actually Chinese sake barrels, but did you know sake actually has medicinal properties too? IN MODERATION that is Sake can be used with other Chinese herbs to create tinctures to treat a variety of ailments #acupuncture #acupuncturist #acupuncturists #acupunctureworks #acupuncturelife #acupuncturetherapy #acupuncturepoints #acupuncturestudent #cosmeticacupuncture #facialacupuncture #acupuncturefacelift #traditionalchinesemedicine #traditionalmedicine #chineseherbalmedicine #herbalmedicines #herbalism #integrativemedicine #naturalmedicine #ipreview #stressrelief #stressmanagement #fertilitytreatment #fertilitytreatment #infertilitycommunity #bipolardepression #depressionhelp #anxietyrelief #pcos #painrelief

Hope everyone had a happy and safe Halloween

Tara Morgan Aceves 03.07.2021

Samhain begins tonight at sundown. Samhain is the traditional Celtic spiritual festival that eventually morphed into what is our modern day Halloween. Samhain (pronounced saah-win) is celebrated from the night of Oct. 31 to Nov. 1 to welcome in the last of the harvest and usher in the dark time of winter. It is believed during this time the veil separating the spirit world and our world is thinned. Because the spiritual barrier could be breached during this time ancien...t celts left out offerings for the fairies and sidhs and expected visits from their ancestors. They also dressed up as beasts and monsters so fairies and other fay folk would be confused and not kidnap them and trap them on the other side. Traditionally bonfires burned throughout the night to offer added protection. How will you be celebrating today? #samhain #acupuncture #acupuncturist #acupuncturists #acupunctureworks #acupuncturelife #acupuncturetherapy #acupuncturepoints #acupuncturestudent #cosmeticacupuncture #facialacupuncture #acupuncturefacelift #traditionalchinesemedicine #traditionalmedicine #chineseherbalmedicine #herbalmedicines #herbalism #integrativemedicine #naturalmedicine #ipreview See more

Did you know that this Halloween takes place on a full moon ? It will be the first time halloween has fallen on a full moon in 76 years! It is also a rare Blue Moon , meaning it’s the second full moon in the same calendar month. Heightened energy and emotions are hallmarks of a full moon energy. While new moons are great times to set new intentions for the future, full moons are when you want to accept the return of energy for things you have already started. ... The full moon energy is best harnessed starting three days before, the day of, and three days after the day of the full moon. Use this powerful time for: Cleansing and charging your crystals Guided meditations The culmination of projects you’ve already started Setting intentions related to releasing and shedding the old and negative Using sage and other sacred herbs to cleanse your space (and yourself!) #acupuncture #acupuncturist #acupuncturists #acupunctureworks #acupuncturelife #acupuncturetherapy #acupuncturepoints #acupuncturestudent #cosmeticacupuncture #facialacupuncture #acupuncturefacelift #traditionalchinesemedicine #traditionalmedicine #chineseherbalmedicine #herbalmedicines #herbalism #integrativemedicine #naturalmedicine #ipreview #fullmoon #fullmoonritual #bluemoon

FIRE ALERT If you live in Irvine/Newport/Tustin and surrounding areas you know there’s a fairly large wildfire nearby - many have already been evacuated. Protect yourself and your Lungs - close you’re windows and turn off AC to avoid bringing in the outside smoke. Avoid drying/acrid foods if possible - opt instead for foods that nourish your Lungs. ... Any easy rule to help is most white foods nourish the lungs. Think cauliflower, potatoes, turnips, apples, pears (especially Asian pears ), rice and oats. The lung meridian helps to keep us from getting sick, if you need a tune up with all of this smoky air DM me for an appointment. #acupuncture #acupuncturist #acupuncturists #acupunctureworks #acupuncturelife #acupuncturetherapy #acupuncturepoints #acupuncturestudent #cosmeticacupuncture #facialacupuncture #acupuncturefacelift #traditionalchinesemedicine #traditionalmedicine #chineseherbalmedicine #herbalmedicines #herbalism #integrativemedicine #naturalmedicine #ocfires #santiagocanyonfire # See more

Neck pain... we all get it sometimes. Here’s an easy solution you can try at home when you’re having neck pain or stiffness... #acupressure - it can help! ... Scroll to the next picture - that’s the Acupuncture point Luo Zhen. This acupuncture point is specific for neck pain & works contra-laterally (meaning if your neck hurts on the left - you use your right hand, and visa-versa), but I usually like to do both sides. Use the picture to find the point, pressing in firmly until you find a tender spot. Hold for 30-60 seconds while gently stretching your neck from side to side. Repeat as necessary If you find your neck still hurts after doing this a few times throughout the day, DM me for an appointment. #acupuncture #acupuncturist #acupuncturists #acupunctureworks #acupuncturelife #acupuncturetherapy #acupuncturepoints #acupuncturestudent #cosmeticacupuncture #facialacupuncture #acupuncturefacelift #traditionalchinesemedicine #traditionalmedicine #chineseherbalmedicine #herbalmedicines #herbalism #integrativemedicine #naturalmedicine #ipreview #acupressure #acupressurepoints #acupressuretherapy #neckpainrelief #neckpain #stiffneck See more

The Du meridian. One of the 8 extraordinary meridians. Also called The Governing Vessel. It’s main functions include strengthening the back, nourishing the spine & brain, treating febrile diseases (think colds and fevers), and treating mental disorders and seizures. ... The Du calms the mind, but also stokes our deepest passions. In TCM it controls our central nervous system and is the force behind our self growth and development. Some of my favorite points to use on this channel are: Du4 - for low back pain and to strengthen the Kidney yang Du15 - used for speech disorders like stuttering Du20 - for clearing the mind and improving memory, lifting the qi and relieving headache Du23 - for cold and allergy symptoms Du24 - for calming the mind and giving you that great acupuncture buzz #acupuncture #acupuncturist #acupuncturists #acupunctureworks #acupuncturelife #acupuncturetherapy #acupuncturepoints #acupuncturestudent #cosmeticacupuncture #facialacupuncture #acupuncturefacelift #traditionalchinesemedicine #traditionalmedicine #chineseherbalmedicine #herbalmedicines #herbalism #integrativemedicine #naturalmedicine #dumai #duchannel #dumeridian #governingvessel #ipreview See more

As I’m sure many of you know, October is pregnancy & infant loss awareness month. Miscarriage in particular is still a very taboo subject, one that many women are not comfortable bringing up or discussing - even with their close friends and family. But it shouldn’t be - It’s estimated about 10%-15% of known pregnancies will end in miscarriage, with more happening before a woman is even aware she was pregnant. While it is emotionally and often physically hard to deal with, ...it’s nothing to be ashamed of or embarrassed about. Most women who experience a miscarriage WILL be able to get pregnant again and deliver a happy, healthy baby. If you find yourself struggling, Acupuncture and traditional Chinese medicine can help you reach those goals. I myself lost my first pregnancy to miscarriage. I assumed getting pregnant a second time would be as easy as the first time... but it wasn’t. We struggled. So I turned to acupuncture and Chinese medicine - I used a specific combination of Chinese herbs, specially coordinated to each phase of my menstrual cycle to finally get me there. And a year later almost to the day, I found out I was pregnant with my son Robby, smiling at you in this picture So how does that work? Well, acupuncture and herbs help to balance hormones, improving ovarian function, blood flow to the uterus, and insulin sensitivity (especially helping ladies suffering from PCOS). These are not just claims, but backed by scientific studies. In fact most fertility clinics now recommend you see an acupuncturist while undergoing treatment. So please... don’t give up, don’t lose hope. If you haven’t tried acupuncture on your fertility journey, what do you have to lose? It may not feel like it, but it’s fall (and has been for almost a month)! In traditional Chinese medicine autumn is the beginning of the yin cycle and associated with the element of metal. Days get shorter as nights grow longer, it’s a time of harvest. Metal governs organization, communication, and setting limits and boundaries. Use this time to finish up old projects and prepare for the upcoming winter months. The metal element is associated with sadness and letting go.... If you are one of those individuals who has a hard time letting go of long summer days and continuous sunshine, it might be a good time to squeeze in some extra acupuncture appointments to help with that emotional process. Once the weather begins to change it’s important to take extra precautions to protect yourself from viruses and colds. Dress appropriately to avoid drafts and cold, and switch from cold raw foods to warming nourishing foods to support your wei qi (which is in charge of your immunity). When talking to patients the concept of acupuncture meridians often comes up. So what are they? In traditional Chinese medicine they are passageways that energy flows through. Most acupuncture points are located on one of the 12 major meridians, and these meridians also connect to organ systems. The 12 major meridians are the Lung Channel, Large Intestine Channel, Stomach Channel, Spleen Channel, Heart Channel, Small Intestine Channel, Bladder Channel, Kidney Channel, P...ericardium Channel, San Jiao Channel, Gallbladder Channel and Liver Channel. Energy travels through these meridians in a specific way, and each channel has its own specific functions. When you get acupuncture, we are adjusting the energy flow through these pathways to help you feel your best! #acupuncture #acupuncturist #acupuncturists #acupunctureworks #acupuncturelife #acupuncturetherapy #acupuncturepoints #cosmeticacupuncture #facialacupuncture #acupuncturefacelift #traditionalchinesemedicine #traditionalmedicine #chineseherbalmedicine #herbalmedicines #herbalism #integrativemedicine #naturalmedicine #tcm #ipreview via @preview.app See more
