Follow up to Anthem Blue Cross discontinued plans in California; if you are on Anthem through Covered California, we have been told that your coverage will be automatically mapped to the least expensive plan in the same metallic tier. This will prevent members who don't apply for a different plan from being left with no coverage. If you are direct with Anthem, you won't have coverage on 1/1/2018 if you don't apply for other coverage during open enrollment.

Anthem Blue Cross is discontinuing their health insurance in many areas of California on the Individual and Family market starting in January. Please be sure to get an early start on reviewing 2018 plans so you aren't left without coverage! Open Enrollment starts November 1! This does not affect Anthem members who are on Grandfathered plans or employer group plans.
