Then we started "sending out packets and then callin...g the participants to let them know what was in the packets and what was the anticipated outcome of those activities, doing Zoom calls to encourage them to exercise. We also are asking the participants what else we can do for [them]." The Governor's budget released yesterday cuts ALL Adult Day Health Care funding! 17 centers in the OC alone will likely close if it happens. Our frail senior...s are able to stay at home thanks to Adult Day Health Care and the physical and occupational therapies it provides. It is FAR cheaper than institutional care. This is both short sighted and fiscally unsound. Please call your State Representative or Senator and ask them to protect Adult Day Health Care and CBAS (Community Based Adult Services) programs.
