Their whole strategy in bankruptcy is to try to put all the wealth into the names of councils, then argue that’s off-limits to the survivors, said Tim Kosnoff, lead attorney with Abused in Scouting, in a comment about the BSA filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection. Earlier this year, the bankruptcy court set a Nov. 16 deadline for Scouting abuse survivors to file claims against the BSA for child abuse.
