Before the year ends, we wanted to share Ani's story! Ani B. came dancing into the after school program at the AbilityFirst Glendale Center early in 2019. Focused on socialization, the program was a perfect fit for Ani, who flourished with the interaction with the other participants. She was comfortable being social with staff and students and enjoyed offering help wherever it was needed. Of all the daily activities, it was music and dance that Ani loved most. Then the pand...emic arrived, and her in-person social activities sadly, stopped temporarily. Thank you Hunter March and Candace Nelson and our own Catherine P. for judging our College to Career Program’s first Gingerbread House Decorating Competition! The competition was FIERCE, each student presented their Gingerbread house and received feedback from the SugarRush host and judge! Our program was so incredibly happy to have them judge and speak to our students who finished finals week! What a sweet treat! Congrats to our winners Livia P., Bryan S., and Kelly G.! Hanging with Hunter and Candace was a blast and we can’t wait to have them back again! #SugarRushNetflix #Netflix #Holidays #HunterMarch #CandaceNelson #Sprinkles #Happy #Su
