It was a pleasure serving as a coach at the Straus Institute’s Women’s Negotiation Academy! Research shows that women negotiate differently for others than they do themselves. Trainers and coaches worked to empower attendees, foster confidence within them, and equip them with techniques to be able to better negotiate for themselves as well as for others. I had the opportunity to work with wonderful, ambitious women whose stories and backgrounds inspired me to reach further!

Maintaining humility and an open mind paves the way to effecting real movement, constructiveness, and role reversals in mediation.

The to being an effective communicator and mediator is practicing active listening. Waiting for one’s own turn to speak does not constitute quality listening.
