? - To me, it means much more than a six pack or my squat 1RM. It’s what keeps me sane. It’s being READY, for anything.... It’s being strong, explosive, and able to endure. It’s my therapy (one of them). It makes me a better wife and mother. It challenges my mind and body. It produces a level of discipline and work ethic in me that nothing else can. It gives me certainty in myself. It’s what gives me energy. It’s my longevity medicine. It’s my disease prevention. Fitness quite literally saved my life. Now I challenge you to define what fitness means to you. No surface level BS of an answer. Don’t do that to yourself. If you want to set goals and have a why that provides PURPOSE and MOTIVE to actually achieve those goals you set. This is where you need to start. WALKING INTO 2021 ON (Here’s a journaling exercise to help you step into the New Year so CLEAR, that you won’t take any wrong turns) There’s 5 simple questions you’ll answer in this. When answering them, the most important thing is that you completely remove self doubt, judgement, or fear.... Because if you go into this exercise with a negative mindset, you’ll subconsciously tell yourself I can’t do this as you’re setting your goals (so you end up setting them lower). And that’s ok, because I get it. I do it too, everyone reading this does. Anyone who says they don’t experience some form of self doubt, issues with self appreciation, or fear of judgment.... is full of crap. Anyway, back to the exercise - be REAL, RAW and RELEVANT with what you write. If you can do that, you will walk into 2021 on 1 What Does January 2021 Look Like? [ i.e. - Where do you live? Who are you with? What do you drive? What does your body look like? What do you do inside your daily life? Paint the most vivid picture you possible can. ] 2 What are the biggest stressors in your life, currently? [ i.e. - List 3-5, in order of most to least. ] 3 What drains the most energy out of you? [ i.e. - On a daily and weekly basis. ] 4 What are 5 things you wish you did better? [ i.e. - Doesn’t need to be big or complicated things, can be very simple habits, too. ] 5 What are 5 things that make you feel fulfilled, that you wish you had more time to do? [ i.e. - Think back on all of 2020 and beyond. ] Now you have a VERY CLEAR idea of: What you actually want. What needs to be removed. What’s wasting your time. What you can improve on, to get you what you want. What makes you happy, that you don’t do enough of - which you WILL create time for. And ultimately... How to crush 2021. Spend some time this week, by yourself - create space. Just you and your journal. Set some targets. Decide who you will become. Remove your self doubt. Start down the path of real results (happiness). See more

: , , . When I first started coaching, I just needed to read the science. Fat loss, hypertrophy, strength, periodization, hormones that’s all I studied.... Until I saw client after client fall flat on their face while using my scientific strategies... Now, does that mean my science was off? No, it was spot on. But I couldn’t interpret that science properly, so they lacked clarity on the plan - which lowered buy in and belief, lowering precision and adherence, which then hindered progress. What went wrong? I had ZERO emotional intelligence. I was a 19 year old trainer who was obsessed with the gym and counting macros. How relatable is that for the average individual trying to shed 20lbs? It’s not. So there was a serious disconnect. I needed to learn to relate to them and have actual empathy. I needed to learn how to speak their language, so things clicked with them. I needed to be a leader, which meant I needed to understand the science of inspiration just as much as the science of macros - that’s what would fuel them to stay consistent and motivated. So for the people out there, looking for coaches find one who: Has A Coach, Too. Has Been Through Body Transformation, Personally. Is Authentic and Transparent, Publicly (on social). LISTENS To You, Doesn’t Just Speak. Values Communication Throughout The Week, Not Just On Check in Day. Will Manipulate The Plan, To Fit Your Lifestyle. I could go on...
