KEEPERS, WE SEE YOU. Times are tough right now, on us & on the world. We’re struggling having to be distant from each other, our family, and our animals. The wo...rld is changing, but the work and love that we as keepers put into the animals is not. Luckily, we have our #AAZK community to support us & we will get through this TOGETHER. Then, once we do...we will have a BIG party in LA August 29th-September 2nd 2021! Visit AAZK2021.org for updated info! #AAZK2021 #LightsCameraTakeAction #AAZKPartyinLA #AAZK #LAAAZK See more

A MESSAGE FROM THE AAZK PRESIDENT Hello AAZK members,... I’m not the first person to comment on the current state of events and I won’t be the last given the constant change going on, but I wanted to say a few words to all of you. The coronavirus pandemic has already had a huge impact and may continue to impact everyone’s lives for an extended period of time. In the field of animal care, being essential staff is part of the lifestyle. Usually this means that we work through natural disasters and overnight emergencies, but a viral outbreak is a new experience for most, if not all, of us. A number of facilities are shutting down to the public and/or altering their procedures in an effort to protect guests, animals, and the staff from illness and the duration of these actions is indefinite at the moment. We are all in somewhat uncharted territory and, on behalf of AAZK staff and the Board of Directors, I wanted to express appreciation for your devotion to AAZK and your animals and facilities. It goes without saying, but please follow all recommended public health guidelines and facility policies. Take care of yourselves and your loved ones at this difficult time and best wishes to all of you. - Paul Brandenburger, AAZK President

Hi everyone! We’re all excited you’ll be joining us in LA for the 2020 conference. We’re getting tons of registrations in (yay). However please double check the following when you register: - You can only sign up for one PCC (Professional Certificate Course) - If you’ve signed up for a PCC, you will not have time to sign up for any limited topical workshops. PCC's are 12 hours of classes. So please choose wisely. - Do not sign up for more than TWO Limited Topical Workshops. T...hey are limited, so we want everyone to have a chance to attend at least 2. We are doing our best to double check everyone who have already registered, but it may take some time. We will email those who have made any of the above mistakes. Please reply to these emails quickly so we can make the corrections on our end. We look forward to seeing you all at the conference! Thanks!
