Finishing up the final handful of helmets at 89 Design... this one for Harlee Aguliera. Pretty bittersweet for me but all in all the best decision. Impressed with myself to see how far I’ve come over the last few years and have a lot of badass helmets out there to still be proud of. Bear with me as I finish these final ones up as I’m moving and dealing with a lot of other big life moments at this time. Thanks everyone for the awesome ride

Well everyone... After a ton of thought and talking everything over with my wife, 89 Design will be closing it’s doors at the end of 2020 (or when the helmets I have now are completed). Between my full time work schedule, family life, some health issues and racing of my own, I just don’t have the time to commit and produce the quality jobs I want to in the time frame everyone expects from me. The hardest part about helmet painting I’ve come to find is making stuff happen in ...a short amount of time that everyone seems to expect. These pieces of art take a ton of time and patience and sometimes unforeseen things come up that delay the process more than I’d like with me being a one man shop for the most part. I get that people spend a lot of their hard working money on these things and I also understand that most people don’t understand all the hard work that goes into everything. Bottom line is when I started doing this, it was about doing what I love and helping the racers with smaller budgets afford something awesome of their own at half the cost of any other helmet painter. Now with it becoming more like work and the fun aspect being sucked out of it, I have to do what’s best for my own well being and my family and hang up the guns. I thank every single one of you who has put their faith in me over the years and became a part of 89 Design growing as much as it has. There’s so many awesome helmets that I’ve been able to put out there that I will never forget. Each one having its own special piece of me. I will keep the doors open to family and friends or whoever I have prior commitments with and do the best I can in the time I have. Once again, thank you so much to everyone. You all will forever be apart of the 89 Design family -Brent
