Fullerton HS Future Farmers of America (FFA) will compete with other competitors to showcase their livestock during the annual Junior Livestock Auction and Showcase Judging will take place this weekend and students will auction their award-winning market swine, calves, goats, beef, rabbits, and lamb (located in the Livestock Show Ring) on Saturday, July 23. Senior Portraits for Class of 2017. Senior yearbook and portrait sittings are going on right now at Studio 94. The studio has open appointments for 200 sittings with discounted photo packages.... They have also created a great economy buster layaway program to pay off your pictures with easy monthly payments. Making an appointment is very convenient. Every year on June 21st there is a worldwide celebration called the Day of Music. It was originally started in Paris in 1982 as the Fete de la Musique, and it is now held worldwide in more than 700 cities and 120 countries. FUHS is lucky to be the namesake and yesterday was the 2nd annual celebration of this day in Fullerton. Our students were involved in a variety of ways, but in two main capacities: 1) Our Tri-M Honor Society volunteered around the downtown area as Day of ...Music hosts and help throughout the day. They displayed their Fullerton shirts proudly and helped the event run smoothly. 2) Our Jazz Ensemble provided music at Florentine's (Commonwealth/Harbor) for 4 hours from 4-8pm! It consisted of current students, recently graduated seniors, staff (Mr. Trimble), as well as some FUHS alumni filling in on some parts. The evening was capped with a performance from the Dixiedelics, a traditional Dixieland style early Jazz ensemble which is made up of 5 members (three of which are FUHS alumni and parents of current FUHS students). The day was a long one, but one to be proud of as a Fullerton HS staff member and perhaps Fullerton community member. We plan on having our music groups perform at this event each year and hope to expand our Tri-M involvement past just volunteering, but hosting music lessons and such. It's tough to organize during the summer so we wanted to thank to our wonderful students for their dedication and desire to share their musical talents.

Senior Reception Tonight!

This is the last week of school for the class of 2016! Seniors will go through a checkout process on Friday that is determined by the period of their English class. They will need to arrive to school at their designated times and follow the stations in order to pick up their cap and gown and tickets. ALL STUDENTS MUST BRING WITH THEM A CURRENT SCHOOL ID. AN AERIES PRINT OUT AND USING A PHONE AS EVIDENCE WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED!!! ... Student will report to the computer lab (in parenthesis) and take the Senior Survey to begin the checkout process: 8:00 Per 1 Matter (47), Ortiz (234), Smith (234) 8:30 Per 2 Alvarez (47), Cagley (47), Despars (234), Hanley (247), Ortiz (234) 9:30 Per 3 Cagley (47), Matter (234), Ortiz (234) 10:00 Per 4 Alvarez (47), Cagley (47), Matter (234) 10:30 Per 5 Matter (47), Smith (234), 11:00 Per 6/0 Alvarez (47), Hanley (47), Matter (234), Olivas (234) Students must have their checkout sheets stamped before moving onto the next station. Once the sheets are stamped, students will receive their cap, gown, and tickets and are free to leave campus.

CIF Boys Tennis The boys are playing on Wednesday @ Tesoro High School (1 Tesoro Creek Rd, Rancho Santa Margarita, CA 92688). If we win, we'll have a match on Friday possibly against Yorba Linda High School. Good luck to our boys!
