GREATEST MOMENTS IN SWIMMING In 1988, Matt Biondi's brilliance in the Seoul, Korea Olympics was the closest thing anyone had seen to Mark Spitz. Biondi won seven medals overall that yearfive of them goldand set a world record in the 50-meter freestyle. In a cruel turn of fate, Biondi is perhaps best remember, however, for one of the races he didn't win. In the 100 fly final Biondi underestimated his distance from the wall and coasted the final few meters, allowing Suriname's Anthony Nesty to nip him by 1/100th of a second.

How cool is this???
Our Y is celebrating its 35 year anniversary next month1 Since I will not be hosting a holiday party this year, I thought I would buy a table for the Manta Ray Club instead. So, if you are interested in attending and visiting with each other in a "dry" environment, let me know!! But hurry because I only have room now for 6 more invitees! - Coach Rob
