Honoring the Indian heritage that brought us all other American highways.

Mr. Santa Monica, Fabian Lewkowicz, of Santa Monica Close Up gave us a shoutout today on our first day back. The pier will now be restricted to 1500 people...average annual daily attendance is normally 10,000 per day, and at this time of year? A mere 15,000!...so we’re a little slower than usual, but praise God...WE ARE OPEN!!

As owners of 66-To-Cali, the 1st shop @ the end of Rte66 in Santa Monica, my boys & I’ve loved discovering the hidden treasures of the planes, trains & automo...bile history of the Midwest the past few years that preceded the Mother Road. The manufacturing history of Michigan, Ohio, Indiana & Illinois directly created the car culture of Rte66 & is a great adventure we love taking & highly recommend! #RootsofRoute66 #2PrincesOfRte66 #66toCali See more

My boys constantly blow me away. In his quest to always top himself, my boy David decided this weekend to set a new distance record for himself by biking 16 mi...les! He is only 8, which means it took me double the time to accomplish the same achievement. More unbelievable is my son Jon, who at just 6, wanted to match his brother and did it easily. When finished, they still had the energy to do handstands and backflips. #Blessed #2PrincesOfRoute66 #LoveMyBoys #MenOfSteel See more

When asked to write my book over a decade ago, the person I got asked about more than anyone else was my friend Joe Fish. Born Joe Crupi in Brooklyn, NY, Joe...’s Dad ran the fish markets there, so for locals who knew Joe as a boy, a true New York moniker, Joe Fish, was born. I knew Joe long after he came to LA and became a born-again Christian, but he’d not always been that way. As a young Sicilian man in New York, he became very street tough, so Joe found his path to God through the Genovese Crime Family, and had come to Los Angeles through the Bonanno Crime Family, Small potatoes, to the Genoveses as Joe would say. Joe shared many stories in our friendship, but his conversion to Christ was genuine. He spoke about raising a woman from the dead! through the power of the Holy Spirit, and being imbued with the strength of ten men! because of God’s power. He’ll always protect you, Danny! Joe had his regrets but he never ran from who he was because he said it led him to God, and he also had an uncommon devotion to God in the way he lived his life. When I met Joe, he was a live-in helping an elderly lady. Keep in mind Joe was already IN HIS 80’s as he described her as elderly, and he had a best pal and roommate Stephen Page, who helped him with her. This week, Stephen was nice enough to send me some pics of Joe for those of you who ever asked me about him. Joe is still the toughest old bird of faith I’ve ever known. The pic with the red hat is from 2015 with Stephen, when Joe was a spry 94 years old. In 2017, Joe passed away at the ripe old age of 96: A great breakfast buddy, selfless servant of God, and amazing story teller, I doubt I’ll ever know another like Joe Fish. I’m fairly certain it was this man’s prayers that spared my life, changed the whole course of it, and led me to every TV Show, documentary, the book itself, and every surreal experience and cool blessing I’ve had since then. For that, God bless ya, Joe! I hope you enjoy the pictures of him. See more
