Dr. Maria Lewis is giving us all the #FridayFeels. Last weekend, Dr. Lewis came into Woodland Memorial Hospital on her day off, and with Bob Marley’s ‘Three Little Birds’ playing, made her way through departments throughout the hospital. She brought joy and laughter to many patients and staff. Thank you, Dr. Lewis, for being a ray of sunshine for our hospital! #HelloHumankindness

Strokes don’t discriminate: 1 in 4 people worldwide will have one. But up to 80% of first strokes may be prevented. You can reduce your risk and improve brain function. And that’s even more important now, because some factors that put you at risk for stroke such as uncontrolled high blood pressure, smoking, and obesity increase your risk for complications from COVID-19. As we look to support our community's health and wellbeing outside of our hospital walls, it's partners like WEAVE, Inc. that are critical in that pursuit. October is National Domestic Violence Awareness Month and due to the challenging living conditions created by the COVID-19 pandemic, domestic violence numbers are on the rise. It's important to know the options that are available to you or a loved one if there is violence at home.
