I really want to share a collaboration I am very proud of!! Working with @invitingoc is always a treat! Larrissa is full of so much creativity and loves to push the limits! This video of this escort card display is the brainchild of Larrissa's. I helped bring it to life with digital design, laser engraving of smokey and clear acrylic, and laser cut wood. After 25 hours of laser engraving the finest of details on the florals and 246 guest names, and laser cut wood, this is the end result! A 10 ft display. Hey there San Diego Friends! I am hoping you can make it out this Sunday to Moniker Group Warehouse for the showcase of Sd20twenty. The showcase begins at 7pm. A $20 donation gets you entry, food and drink tickets for San Diego's top brews and food. All proceeds will go to benefit my fave organization, The David's Harp Foundation, Inc.. Seriously, an amazing organization! What to expect... I was invited, along with 6 other amazing San Diego entrepreneurs, to discuss the "Why..." behind our businesses. I've not been on this account since September 2016. And I'm stoked to finally break this long silence to announce that the amazing and sweet Tatum of @lovetatum got an amazing feature today on @greenweddingshoes!! Everything about her and Nate's wedding was a complete dream!! I loved working on their wedding invitations and other day of pieces. Earlier today I got a phone call I've been dreading but anticipating all week, for a surgery that certainly may change how I live my life; as it already has in many small ways. It's an interesting journey being a part of something I've witnessed most dramatically on TV medical dramas, and within my own family, but miles away. To be diagnosed. To have surgery. To be told It has spread. To have my heart beat so fast and my hands shake and feel nervous about the unknown and hop...ing for the best of outcomes. Through this I've had some enlightened moments. This is my current truth. I don't honor who I am. I don't take time to appreciate myself. I don't care for myself. I don't love myself. I work. I work. I work, and in that I forgot who I was. So today, in the midst of fear and hope, I found for self care. I booked an appointment for my first tattoo!! I am absofuckinglutely stoked!!! I've dreamt about this for decades!!! I don't know what held me back, but on my way home from my office, I took it upon myself to stop and do something that would make me feel beautiful. This moment took away all of my fears. It's not just a tattoo, it will be my story. See more

Being good at something, sometimes isn't enough. 2016 has been a very challenging year for me personally, in business and health. There's so much I love about design and creating. But also there are a lot of things I don't necessarily know how to cope with or handle. Running a business is more than being good at something; it's about maintaining a balance, being present in who you are, and also being true to what you are. I think I fell off track with all of the above. I'm su...re you've noticed that I have stepped back a bit. Taking some time over the next few months to reevaluate, reset, and fall back in love with what I do and why I do it. I'll be popping back, here and there, to share this little journey I am about to embark upon.
