Cheers and farewell... Back in 2014 Adam Burnett and myself began an exploration through beer and coffee, inspired to make unique barrel aged beans and cold brew, driven by the strong parallels to the beer styles we both love. We saw amazing support from friends and peers in both the coffee and beer industries, and it took us through the next 3 years of collaboration and growth. In 2017 after giving so much of himself, Adam moved to Illinois to pursue his lifelong dream of b...eing a brewer in the beer industry and while it was rough seeing him go, it was a job he had to take. At that point I felt lost and unsure how to move forward, and through an unexpected series of events I found myself perfectly paired with Rob Wallace. A friend, talented roaster, and an insider to both the coffee and beer industry. Rob dedicated his time, his incredible talents, and so much energy to making this dream a reality. 2017-18 saw an insane amount of collaborations, coffee beans and improvement, all while we both held down other full time jobs. In a scenario that feels all too familiar, Rob was offered an amazing job this week that he must take and devote his full attention to... which forced me to review my options again. At this point, I am find myself doing exactly what I always wanted to be doing, designing almost exclusively for the beer industry, often times spreading myself thin as I try to balance this full time workload with coffee. So now I have the opportunity to decide to make the choice to dedicate my time to design, something I love and will always be made better by a cup of coffee. I will walk away from this experience with no real regrets, nothing but wonderful memories and a sense of accomplishment... The 3 of us made something really fucking cool... something that we can be proud of. Respect to coffee, beer, and collaboration... Love to everyone who made it possible.
