General Manager Leslie transformed herself, inside and out, with the help of fitness, perseverance and her gym community. "Things hit me pretty hard last summer into fall. I was dealing with some depression issues and it was a breaking point for me. I had been working with a trainer at the time, and if it wasn’t for him pushing me and not letting me cancel my sessions ... that support really kept me working out, she told us. Moving made her more confident and stronger and happier, just as it she sees it help her club community and team. Knowing that I’m doing this for myself, but that it will positively impact my family and my 24 Team is huge for me. We need to lead by example and I strive to be a good example for myself and my Team Members every day." #StoriesAt24

The backstory: General Manager, Leslie Samaniego was always very petite, and was bullied about her weight growing up. After her first year of high school, she joined a gym and started to gain muscle. Even though she was small, she felt strong, and she realized the gym environment had become a place of happiness for her. Leslie’s boyfriend at the time (now her husband) worked for 24 Hour Fitness and recommended she apply. Now with the company for over six years, she credits the gym with getting her through a tough transitional time in her life. #StoriesAt24
