VFW Post 3783 is proud to support Sports Clips and their Scholarship program. There will be a group meeting at 9AM on Sat the 5th of Dec for anyone that wants to walk. It is self paced or tag is on your own walk to our page to show support! Please consider donating to this cause that provides scholarships to our Veterans and their families! After multiple people asking about the rotisserie turkeys, VFW Post 3783 will be offering precooked turkey's for Thanksgiving, just as we do for Christmas in October. We will cook and wrap your Turkey on November 25th. Pick up will be that evening. As you know we've been attempting to open to offset costs and taxes. This is a fundraiser to help pay bills and keep the lights on so we can come back and be at 100% when allowed. Cost will be $40.00... Turkeys can be packed whole or we can break down the turkey, ready to reheat and serve. On October 16th 17th and 18th VFW Post 3783 members headed out to Ocotillo Wells OHVA. Members teamed up with the veteran organization Wheel 2 Heal, Paralyzed Veterans Association Cal-Diego Chapter to get several disabled veterans out of thier normal routine and into passenger seats and some into drivers seats. The group wheeled all over Ocotillo Wells OHVA including the Truck Heaven training area. There the Veterans were challenged with some of the toughest obstacles in the park. Alright Ramona! Today is a big day at the VFW! We are hosting our 16th Annual Christmas In October fundraiser! We have 21 local military families that we will be helping his holiday season but we need YOUR help to do it! This year more than ever they need your help! We will be holding our dinner through our Drive-thru! $15 per meal, starting at 5PM! Normally we collect toys but this year we are asking for cash or gift card donations ($10 cards Walmart, Target, Amazon) to go to our families! To keep 67/Main St from getting bogged down please line up along Kelly Ave to Letton Ave. We are prepared to serve 200 meals today! Plus SANTA will be here! We also want to send a special thank you to our great Ramona Businesses that have already donated to our Drive!

Don’t forget! This Saturday at the VFW will be our Christmas In October fundraiser! We will be serving our delicious Christmas Dinner in the drive thru and we are hoping to reach a record of 200 meals sold! All proceeds go to providing Christmas to 21 local military families. This year is different than the last 15 years we have been doing this event, but this year the need is far greater! We normally collect toys and such but this year we will be collecting monetary donations as well as $10 gift cards from Amazon, Walmart, Target, Stater Bros and Albertsons. All Students in 6th -8th Grade are encouraged to enter the Patriots Pen. 9th -12th grade are eligible for the Voice of Democracy. All entrances are due to VFW Post 3783 by Oct 31st!
