Phase 1 of the Moscone Center decorative wall screens is done. Using a BOK Modern panel system with its first of kind engineering design that worked as advertised. More cool photo’s coming in future phases of this project.

Ahlborn recently completed a park project at what used to be the old PG&E power plant at Hunters Point on the southern end of San Francisco. This was an extremely complex project with an even more complex schedule. Our company’s steel division and fence division worked together to complete this project on time. The crews worked rain or shine through weekends, and most holidays to ensure the project stayed on schedule. The project involved roughly a mile of bar fencing th...at is manufactured in Italy. It consisted of custom cut laser and waterjet panels. These panel designs were given to Ahlborn throughout the project and we utilized suppliers all over the state to apply a high performance coating that few companies could supply. These factors made meeting the deadline near impossible. In the end, with exceptional teamwork, we were able to complete the project within the deadline. See more

Oddly custom...

This staircase was recently installed at American AgCredit in Santa Rosa. It serves as a focal point to their newly constructed headquarters. Its unique design was achieved by custom fabricating the side panels that span all three floors. The brushed stainless steel handrail also contains LED lights from within.

Ahlborn is currently installing the steel framework for a two story classroom building in Windsor. The job site, Brooks Elementary, is receiving several improvements to its campus. In addition, we are also installing the framework for a new library building as well. Seen in these pictures is the classroom building during its erection.

Ahlborn would like to wish our Field Superintendent, Tino Retamoza, good luck in his Pacific Coast Football League championship game. Tino and his team, The North Bay Rattlers, are competing for the title in Las Vegas this weekend. Good luck Tino!

This steel truss was recently erected at the jobsite of Emerald Glen Aquatic Center in Dublin, CA. It is one of the more aesthetic structural components to the framework of this project. After its fabrication in our structural shop, it was galvanized and sent off to the field for erection. These pictures show the crew utilizing a crane and forklift to set this giant piece into place.
