Looking for activities for the kids to do during Thanksgiving break? Our Fall Crafts in a Bag kit is the perfect way to go. Crafts in a Bag kits are $15 for Walnut Residents and $20 for Non-Residents and include 5 fall themed crafts and supplies. Pick-up will be available on Friday, November 20 from 8 am to 12 pm. Every Wednesday the Walnut Teen Center will be posting our REC @ Home - DIY Edition video for you to follow along. Videos include step by step instructions to unleash your creativity! A new video will be shared on Facebook, Instagram and the City of Walnut Website on the Community Services page every Wednesday. Instead, the City will be preparing a tribute video that includes a photo slideshow of Veterans and Active Duty Service Members from Walnut. We need your help you to submit Veteran/Active Duty photos! To submit a photo to be included in the City’s Virtual Veterans Day video, please email [email protected] or call (909) 444-7959 for more information. Deadline for photo submissions is Monday, November 2. We hope you will help us honor our Veterans this November!

We hope everyone had a safe and enjoyable Halloween. Home Decorating Contest voting ends at 11:59 pm. A winner will be announced Sunday, November 1st. We would like to thank our sponsor Valley Vista Services for providing us with 2000 treat bags and our inflatables for our Drive-up Scavenger Hunt and for the amazing prizes to our contestants. ... 1st place $250 gift card, 2nd place $150 and 3rd place $100.

Play it safe with our Halloween Drive-Up Scavenger Hunt and trick-or-treat curbside, Saturday, October 31 from 6pm to 7:30pm or while supplies last. Mask required to play.
Let the competition begin. Tell us your top three picks from October 29 through October 31 and we will announce the winners on November 1st. Homes will be decorated and on display from 6:30 pm to 9:00 pm Thursday through Saturday. Using the number key for each home, let us know your top three picks by commenting down below with ex. 4, 8, 12... We will only count one comment per person and you may not repeat your pick (3, 3, 3). Judging based on what you see from the street. Look for creativity, spookiness and/or general appeal. Voting closed at 11:59pm on Saturday, October 31.
